It’s Monday, August 12, 2019, and time for Math in our Homeschooling class! I would like to ask you to check out the Recommended Websites: If you have used these websites what did you like about them and why? Was there anything you didn’t like?
Age Range: 4-8 (Grades PreK-3, with parental supervision) This site offers free, printable file folder games and activities that help young children practice basic skills in beginning math.
When you get to the site, scroll down to the grade you are interested in and click on the link for the math related activities. Or to make it easier, we have listed the links below:
- Preschool Counting – Addition, subtraction, counting and more
- Kindergarten Math – Graphing, place value and more
- First Grade Math – Fractions, telling time, measuring, patterns
- Second Grade Math – Skip counting, rounding, place value and more
- Third Grade Math – Multiplication, fractions and shapes
Read the explanation and/or instructions, then download the game/activity you are interested in. There are also skill building links and supplementary resources.
The activities at this site are for younger children, but older children may enjoy preparing them for their siblings.
(While there are a variety of free file folder activities at this commercial site, there are many more available for sale.)
When you are through exploring the math activities, check out the Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies activities. There is so much at this site, so bookmark it to return often!
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
