With Summer here I knew Charlie would be asking for snacks and candy more and more. I am happy to bring you a review for Lovely a company that offers candy small bite-sized pieces. I like knowing Lovely comes in small bite size pieces as it allows me to monitor how much candy Charlie is eating at any Given time.
Lovely is smaller than a candy bar, I know Charlie will not be getting near the amount of sugar he gets when having a candy bar. Although for me I can make a candy bar last a couple of days Charlie isn’t like me where I eat half the first day and the other half the next day. Or I split the candy bar with someone. Charlie eats all of his candy bars in one sitting meaning he gets to much sugar at one time.
Since learning about Lovely, I will be purchasing this candy keep to in my candy bowl and always make sure it is full allowing Charlie to have only have one piece a day. Now you might ask won’t Charlie get tired of just having Lovely this Summer and the question is no, because it comes in several different flavors of candy which you can find.
Below you will find mine and Charlie’s thoughts on all the different flavors of Lovely we tried because we were sent samples in exchange for this review, but the opinions in the report are all mine and my families.
Hula Chews Coconut Dark Cocoa was one flavor I knew David would enjoy a lot because David likes coconut a lot. I also thought my sister might enjoy this package as she loves Dark Cocoa. Only she hasn’t been over, so I haven’t been able to get her a piece to try. David also hasn’t been able to try this new candy as he broke his tooth, so he isn’t eating candy of any kind at the moment.
I had to depend on Charlie for this review as I am on a diet and trying hard not to eat candy. Here is what Charlie thought of Hula Chews Coconut Dark Cocoa. The candy is chewy and soft to bite. The flavor of coconut was tasty, and wasn’t overpowering. Charlie says it reminded him of a Tootsie Roll. For me, I like knowing Charlie can have up to 7 pieces and that he only gets 22 grams of Sugar because it means he would have a lot less Sugar if I give him one or two pieces at a time.
My friend Elle who is Gluten free can even have this candy as it contains nothing artificial, non-GMO, no high fructose corn syrup or gluten. I wish I had gotten the candy out when my dad was here visiting as both my brother and my father might have enjoyed this candy as well.
The second package we opened Charlie to try out was Chocolate Swirl Caramels which reminded me of Taffy I had as a child. If David could try this package out he would like it a lot as he enjoys different flavors of Taffy. Charlie says it is soft and smooth to bite and he asked if he could have the entire bag as it was so good.
This package says you can have four pieces at a time. Charlie says that isn’t enough, but I liked knowing it only had 14 grams of sugar as Charlie can run that off in no time. Just like the first pack Elle could also have this flavor as it is also Gluten free and would make the perfect Christmas Gift for her.
The third package my family tried out was Assorted VEGAN All-Natural Fruit Chews was the one I wanted to try if I could have had it as it reminded me of Jolly Ranchers candy I had as a child. Charlie couldn’t wait to try Assorted VEGAN All-Natural Fruit Chews out, and the only problem he had was he couldn’t decide which flavor he wanted to try. Charlie mentioned these melt fast so to eat them inside in a cool house. Charlie tried the apple, and he says it was an excellent flavor and next he wants to try the Blueberry as it would be the one his grandfather would like the most.
Later on that evening, Charlie has asked to try the Cherry as he thinks his friend Bradley would like to have it with him. Once Charlie tried the Cherry he didn’t like it as much as the others but says if it were all he had he would still eat it. With Assorted VEGAN All-Natural Fruit Chews you can have about seven pieces and would get 24 grams of sugar so I would have Charlie spread this candy out throughout the day.
The fourth package our family was able to try out was Lovely Seal Salt Caramels which reminded me of Kraft Caramels and would have been my parents and also David’s favorite candy. Since none of them were here, I let Charlie try Lovely Seal Salt Caramels, and he enjoyed them a lot. They were delicious Charlie says, and he liked how soft and chewy Lovely Seal Salt Caramels were as it made them so easy to eat.
The last package my family received was Lovely Caramel Apple Caramels. Charlie just wasn’t sure of this one at all. If truth were told neither was I. Charlie did try Lovely Caramel Apple Caramels, and he liked how soft they were and that each piece was a square shape. Once Charlie tried Lovely Caramel Apple Caramels, he said it wasn’t his favorite but it wasn’t as bad as he thought it might be and he would eat it with his friends as they would like it. All Charlie wanted to know was if there was a way to have the outside and not eat the middle as that was where the apple flavor was inside the candy.

The journey started when Jackie asked her husband, Mike, to go on a quest for her favorite candy licorice. Hers was a special request – it needed to be consciously crafted with select ingredients, as well as gluten and GMO-free.
