I can’t believe it is the 2nd day of February so for me it seems like forever since Charlie and me were able to sit down and do any Homeschool lessons. I had meant to share day 1 from our February Love and Baseball Calendar along with which activities we had chosen to do. Although that didn’t happen as David was off and we snuck off to the movies and out to lunch. The reason we did this during the week is that Thursdays are David’s only day off.
Which means today and through the weekend Charlie and I are playing catch up on the items he missed from Wednesday through Friday. Which is nice because if he had been in public school he wouldn’t have been able to go with us. So I am truly blessed that he is homeschooled because Charlie gets to spend time more time with his dad which he wasn’t able to when he was in public school.
Day 1: Homeschooling in Texas Unit Studies/ Lesson Plans Valentines
Today is Friday and we will be working all weekend to get back on track today is just going to be an Art day and besides the coloring sheet, we are going to spend some time creating Greeting Cards for Charlie’s father as well as his grandparents. If we have time we will also make one for my sister. I think we may have cookies or brownies in the freezer and if so we may make them this afternoon. Now, mind you we will not be decorating them nor will they be Valentine Shaped but they will be cookies so what else matters? Other than they taste good?
Charlie and I have definitely decided we are going to color our Winnie the Pooh coloring sheet you will find in this post Homeschooling in Texas Unit Studies/ Lesson Plans Valentines. That is if he gets out of bed and even does any homework because I refuse to wake him up this morning. He needs to get up on his own and get to the table and begin working as he knows what he needs to do.
Day 2 Choose one of these Valentine’s writing prompts and get creative.
Charlie loves telling stories and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with. I just hope I can get him to sit down and write it out. In fact, I think I will get David to write one as well. Then I will once they finish and we can turn them into a book to give to Leslie’s baby Elijah at Christmas as he would always have a part of our family with him. So when he grows up he would know about his Uncle and grandfather.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
