When Suzzane was alive we liked to go and get Bar B Que at different restaurants around town. One of our favorite places was Lone Star Bar-B- Que.
I would still go eat at Lone Star Bar-B- Que Suzzie was gone. Not as much because David didn’t like the service that much. One day I asked to go and the building had been torn down.
The Lord had other plans Lone Star Bar-B- Que because Charlie, David and I decided to go to the movies one day. Before the movie started we needed to eat.
Not being familiar with all the restaurants in the area David begun to drive around. I saw Paleo Pizza and said we could go there. Then I noticed a Bar B Que restaurant right across the parking lot.
I let David know I wanted to eat at there. I noticed the name Lone Star Bar-B- Que and didn’t think anything about the name, until I walked inside and saw the decor.
Then it dawned on me it was Lone Star Bar-B- Que. I asked the staff and they said yes, the owner had them they had relocated here because there was more business in this area.
I was so excited and couldn’t wait to try out the food which was just as good as I remembered. The staff was so kind and the owner was very nice and took a lot of time talking to me about the old restaurant. All that was missing was Suzzie.
I love Hamburgers, Cheese Burgers, and Bacon Cheeseburgers and seeing this Hamburger and Fries I might forfeit Bar B Que for one of the Hamburgers and Fries.
I walked up and looked at the Menu and I there was so many choices I wasn’t sure what I would get. They even had Desserts and Sweet Iced Tea and boy didn’t the Sweet Tea taste fresh and just e enough without being overpowering.
Charlie chose the Kids plate with Sausage, Corn on the Cob and Macaroni and Cheese. Before I even had my meal Charlie had sat down and eaten all of his food and asked for more Sausage.
Having Charlie do this I knew he liked the Food a lot and would want to return. Before we left charlie even let the owner know he couldn’t wait tot return and try out the Ribs.
We had Aiden Charlie’s friend with use and he ordered a child’s plate with Ribs. Aiden liked them a lot and he let Charlie try one and he also liked them. I asked what they thought of the Bar B Q Sauces and both kids said it was good.
You can tell the boys are brothers as they got the same sides Corn nd Macaronie and CHees. Aiden liked both of the sides but said the COrn was his favorite.
Out of all the food we tried I loved the Rolls and was one lucky lady because David and Charlie gave me there Rolls. I could have made a meal out of them and been satisfied.
The rolls which are Handmade Yeast Rolls. Soft and warm with butter what more do you need? The Rolls reminded of me of the rolls we would have as a child on Sunday dinner.
I chose the two meat plate so I would have lunch the next day. I picked Sliced Brisket which was so tender and juicy the meats would fall apart. Ribs so David and I could try them. But once I tasted them I didn’t want to share. But I did and we both liked them a lot and can’t wait to return and order a full Slab.
For my sides I pieced out Fried Okra fried extra crispy and it was perfect and done inside and out. David and I liked the seasoning a lot. My second side was Potato Salad and I enjoyed it as well and would order it again.
David was the last one to order because he couldn’t make up his mind. He also picked out the Two Meat Plate. David picked out Hot Links which wasn’t two hot for me and him to eat.
David put the Sliced Brisket on his Roll and made a sandwich which was tasty. He added some of the Bar B Que Sauce to give the sandwich a kick and even added some of the Hot Links.
The Ribs David tool home for his lunch the next day. I thought they might get tough but they didn’t and David Sliced the meat off for a sandwich and mixed in the Sauce which was so tasty.
David chose Bar B Que Beans for one of his sides which we both liked a lot. The Seasonings they used in the beans wasn’t overpowering. The Beans were done and not dry.
David chose Fries and they were homemade and perfect. If I had a Roll and the French Fries I would have a complete meal and die happy. I liked that there was enough Fries to share with everyone at tthe table ano, arguing because someone didn’t get some.
