I would like to share a new children’s book Lochy the Loch Ness Monster written by Dandurand and Gary Revel which I was sent a PDF Copy in exchange for this review.
Charlie hasn’t been feeling well the past couple days and has been sleeping most of the day. This morning I took my laptop upstairs and crawled into bed with Charlie. I showed Charlie the cover to Lochy the Loch Ness Monster which I let Charlie know I was going to go back downstairs and read the book.
Charlie said no, mom can you read the story to me. I began to read and before I knew it even though Charlie’s head was hurting Charlie looked at the pictures and began to read the book on his own. Charlie let me know he also doesn’t have brothers or sisters and if we lived near Water he would like to have a friend like Lochy.
Charlie and I had fun learning how Lochy and Mary became friends and that they weren’t scared of each other. Charlie was amazed to learn Mary is homeschooled like he is. Charlie reminded me that even though children can be homeschooled they can still have friends with other children just like Mary did.
Charlie and I did get a little said when we found out Lochy was going to leave until Spring as he hibernated like Bears which will lead to new Lesson Plans for Charlie. Through the book we plan on studying the Loch Ness Monster. Would you like to join us in our classroom?

Lochy and Mary live in the Scottish Highlands, near Loch Ness. They became friends and spent many hours playing on and around Loch Ness. Can you think of the thing that would stop them from playing together?
