I’m here with a review for a new Murder Mystery series called “In The Line of Duty” . This series is written by Carolyn Arnold. As for me “In The Line of Duty” isn’t the type of book I would usually read.
But I was sent a copy of “In The Line of Duty” in exchange for this review. I would like to let you know the thoughts in the review are all mine and my fathers.
The week my file arrived with “In the Line of Duty” arrived my dad was here and I knew he would enjoy “In The Line of Duty”. As my dad has always enjoyed mysteries and books about crime. So I knew if we sat down together and read “In The Line of Duty” it would give us something to discuss together.
I asked my dad to read In The Line of Duty and he sat right down to get started. Once he was done with In The Line of Duty which only took him a couple house to read. I began reading and like my dad I didn’t want to put In The Line of Duty down either.
I sat down with my favorite beverage and In The Line of Duty and as I got started reading In The Line of Duty I became immersed in the story and didn’t want to put In The Line of Duty down.
I blocked everyone out until I was finished. And let me tell you I can’t wait to read more of this series of books as it keeps you on the edge of your seat. And you do not get bored.
Each and every time I was wrong on what I thought would happen. Which drew me further into the story line. And I asked my dad what he thought about the book and he says he enjoyed “In The Line of Duty” a whole lot and he enjoyed Carolyn Arnold’s style of writing.
For both my dad and I knowing there is other books in this series of mysteries both my dad and I can’t wait to check them out. Which I am very happy about as now I have something new and different that I can pick up for my dad for Christmas that he wouldn’t purchase for himself.
I also think my father in law would enjoy these books and if I can find “In The Line of Duty” on tape then I will purchase a copy for him to listen to in the truck when he is driving.
He devoted his life to seeking justice. But would she get any for him?
It was an ordinary day for police officer Barry Weir. It was the end of shift, he was tired, and he just wanted to get home to his wife and kids. But someone had other plans for him—shooting him down and forcing him to make the ultimate sacrifice.
When news of Weir’s murder reaches the precinct, it leaves Detective Madison Knight and every cop in the Stiles PD itching for revenge. It cuts Madison’s boyfriend, colleague, and Weir’s childhood friend, Troy Matthews, deepest of all, driving him away from everyone he loves, just when they need one another the most.
With evidence pointing to a gang-related drive-by, Madison and her team investigate the town’s seedy underbelly in search of justice for their fallen brother. But the deeper they dig, the more convoluted the case becomes. Now they need to figure out if this was a random shooting as part of a gang initiation, a straight-up hate crime, or a targeted kill. But with the Stiles PD under attack, they have to do it fast…before more people pay with their lives.
