Last knight a friend of my had hew new baby. This is Doorthy’s second child. Her daughter lives with her ex-husband. I wanted to get Dorthy a gift because she doesn’t have any support with the new baby ad lives out of town.
One of the Gifts I picked out was Lily Payen Feeding Tiny Bellies which contains “Over 100 Baby-Led Weaning, Toddler, and Family Recipes by Lily Payen (Author), Min Kwon (Foreword). Having this cookbook will allow Dorthey to make healthy meals for her self because she doesn’t cook at all.
I booked through the book and wanted to let you know the Foreword was written by Min Kwon, MS, RDN who I had fun learning about. I liked how the book looks like its a hard-backed book but its easy to read and its bendable making it easy to hold.
The pictures inside the book are so pretty and colorful and they made not only me hungry but Charlie and David because I shared some of the recipes with them. I enjoyed learning about the Author and seeing a picture of her family.
Having a list of foods to start with is going to give new parents ease of mind and save them time when grocery shopping. Seeing the portion sizes of plates we should fix will help me with my diet. There is so much information packed into this book that parents will not have to ever worry about meals.
There was recipe for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks & treats not only for parents of little children but families in general. If Charlie had still been #Homeschooling full time we could have used the book in our #Health class and also in his Cooking Class to prepare some of the recipes.
For Charlie and his grandfather I would like to make them Blueberry Banana Waffles. For David Apple Pie Breakfast Bars. For my family I would like to make Crispy Fish Sticks for dinner although she used it as a lunch meal.
For Dinner I would like to make One Pot Chicken Dinner for our family and also David’s mom and dad. I can’t wait to try Garlic Bread Bites. There is even recipes for Sides, Spreads and Dips my family lives on. How about you?
If you would excuse me I’m off to make Oven-Baked Potato Wedges. Don’t worry about looking for a beverage because the Author has included drink recipes for us. I can’t wait to make the Peach Slush or the Strawberry Milkshake which one should I make for David and why?
About the book: Feeding Tiny Bellies: Over 100 Baby-Led Weaning, Toddler, and Family Recipes: A Cookbook
A unique baby-led weaning cookbook from Lily Payen of Feeding Tiny Bellies, with over 100 easy recipes for feeding little ones and beyond
Lily Payen, the mama behind the popular baby-led weaning website Feeding Tiny Bellies, knows how challenging it can be to start feeding solids to your baby. When Lily was a new parent faced with offering solids to her baby for the first time, she was lost on where to start, what to feed him, and how to balance making meals for the entire family.
Through trial and error—and two more babies—Lily figured out what worked and what didn’t. She created her website, and now, this cookbook, to help other parents and caregivers make meals they can feel confident about serving to their little ones. The 100+ simple recipes—from Strawberry Oatmeal Bars to Avocado Chicken Salad to Parmesan-Crusted Salmon—are designed for babies six months of age who are beginning solids, and each recipe includes tips for modifying and safely serving portions for babies.
Lily guides you through the weaning journey, addressing the most commonly asked questions and providing advice for parents of picky eaters, children with allergies, and more. This book is your one-stop shop for creating delicious recipes that the whole family will love.
