Life is a challenge as we get older

Review/ Sponsored Post for Dr. Hoy’s

WOW! Another month has passed and were into May time for Summer and being outside. Although the older I get that isn’t always the easiest thing to do from my knees hurting and having to use pain relief cream. Because drum roll… In two years, I will be 60 yes 60. Not only that on Thursday my baby sister is 50. Here I am with a 16-year-old son at the end of the year. I’m still fighting the weight I wanted to lose. Here is a toip for you: Life is a challenge as we get older.

Which is causing havoc with my health. From High Blood Pressure to my knees buckling and burning when walking to my wrist hurting when working. Not having insurance is hard because I am almost sure I have Tendinitis. Being a new month, I’ve set goals for myself that push me out of my comfort zone.

If I didn’t do that though I might not be here to see Charlie grow up and I don’t want that to happen. This morning even though my knee was hurting I’m pushing myself to get out of my chair and go and walk. I plan on walking 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon when I will take my dog Pheobie with me who also needs to get out of the house.

If my knee is hurting when I get back into the house, I will not have to worry as I have some pain relief to put on my knee once I get out of the shower. I purchased a tube for myself and David to keep in his bag at work for his own knee. More than that though is I am excited there was a roll on pain relief which will keep my hands clean at all times.

In the past the pain relief I’ve bought has had a strong smell that has bothered me and triggered a headache but this one doesn’t do that. It’s not greasy and goes on and I don’t have to worry about messing up my clothes or bedcovers when going to bed at night. As soon as I put it on within minutes my knee was easy and I was able to get up and walk without it hurting.

From now own I will put it on before heading out the door for my walk. I bet you in no, time I will have those 10,000 steps I’ve been struggling to get. Then nothing will stop my from signing up for my first 5K. Would you like to join me as there is one called Light the Relay for Life for Cancer I can do in memory of my mom.

I love when David and Charlie support me in my weight loss journey. This morning for Charlie’s Homeschool PE Class he searched challenges for 10,000 steps and Charlie found 10,000 Step CHALLENGE • INDOOR Walking #20 • Low Impact • Keoni Tamayo on YouTube which we can do for his Homeschool PE Class. You can join us through Zoom and we could walk together. Because it’s more fun with a friend or two or three.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
