Good morning, I thought I would share with you one of the books Charlie picked out at the Haltom City Library. Which Charlie is reading for this years Summer Reading Challenge. Charlie has chosen a new book which I hadn’t heard of. Also I hadn’t heard of the Author so being able to find something new to read and learn about a new Author has been nice. So without further ado I would like to introduce you to Let’s Say Hi To Friends Who Fly Published by Mo Willems.
I asked Charlie why he picked out Let’s Say Hi to Friends Who Can Fly! and Charlie said for three reasons. 1) The title of the book caught his eye as it is catchy. 2. The illustration on the front of the book is cute and he liked the picture of the cat. 3. The title of the book caught his eye and he made him want to know more about the book.
Once Charlie and I sat down to read Let’s Say Hi to Friends Who Can Fly! Charlie figured out he could read it on his own which was a huge plus for Charlie.
Charlie and I finished lets Say Hi to Friends Who Can Fly! and Charlie asked me if we could look for more books written by Mo Willems so I knew it was a huge success.
Charlie even took Let’s Say Hi to Friends Who Can Fly! to my sisters to read to my niece Lily and my nephew Jason and they both enjoyed it just as much as Charlie and I did.
Cat the Cat sure likes her flying friends. You will too!
Join this spunky feline as she introduces the very youngest readers to her world, where a surprise is waiting in every book.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
