The Mommies Reviews

Let’s Learn to Fish! Everything You Need to Know to Start Freshwater Fishing By Dan Armitage is a book I received in exchange for this review. This new children’s book is from Storey Publishing who has an exciting new list of children’s nonfiction books coming out in the Spring 2024 which you can see here: or on Amazon. David is always saying he would like to take Charlie fishing which he had done a time or two when Charlie was little but not enough to make it count. Back then Charlie even wanted to camp out which David never took Charlie to do. It’s never to late to do those things and even though Let’s Learn to Fish! Everything You Need to Know to Start Freshwater Fishing is for younger children there is things David and Charlie would need to know this book is the perfect guide to get them off on the right foot.

Once we finish using the book if Charlie and David don’t want to keep the book I would like to give the book to my nephew David M. then he would be able to take my nephew Lily and my niece Jason fishing or to my niece Alex and her husband Jo because he does take his daughters fishing. Although my step-daughter Leslie and her husband Toby also might be able to use the book with there son Elijah.

I sat down to read the book because I don’t know anything about fishing. Do you? The front of the book with the kids made me want to head out to the lake as soon as possible. Would you like to go with us? I love how the Author explains different tackles to us because for Christmas I can put together tackle boxes for Charlie and David.

Don’t throw away the water bottles you use because they can be used when fishing something my family didn’t know. The Author’s suggestions on how to set up a spot to go fishing will help us be a success and again it was something I didn’t know. There is even tips on going out in a boat which Charlie would need to know because he hasn’t ever been on a boat which I have been.

There is so much more in the book including a place for notes but I didn’t want to tell you everything the Author shares with us because I want you to pick up a copy of Let’s Learn to Fish! Everything You Need to Know to Start Freshwater Fishing to share with your friends and family. If your Homeschooling Fishing is a wonderful activity for PE, Science and so much more.
