Last week while at work David was hurt
Last week while at work David was hurt when a door fell on top of him. Which has caused him both shoulder and neck pain. But like most men David didn’t listen to me. As he had called me from work to let me know what had happened. And that he was on his way to the hospital.
So I run next door to Leslie and Bradley’s to get Charlie and begin to gather things up to meet David where ever they send him. As I do I start to run through my mind of who I can ask to take us to meet David. As David had the car. When my neighbor Leslie says she will take Charlie and I.
So I come home and David calls back to say they are just sending him home and if he is worse on Tuesday they will send him to the doctor. But by then I am furious. As he should have sent him to the Emergency Room that night. So when they didn’t I told David we should go on and go but he didn’t want to listen to me.
So comes home and takes some Advil and goes to bed. On Friday he gets up to go back to work and can barely move. But he goes on in and remains at work through his shift hurting. And when David gets home that night he goes straight to bed.
On Saturday morning I ask David again if he wants to go to the doctor and David says no, they want me to wait until Tuesday. Which was stupid and crazy. So he goes on to work hurting. Which could have caused more damage to his neck and shoulder. As he has to pull, shove and move things at work.
But with David being off on Sunday and Monday I am thinking he might be better when he returns to work on Tuesday. But that wasn’t the case and when David gets to work he can barely do his job as he is hurting so much.
So his boss Juan throws a fit and cusses David out and tells him to just go on to the hospital and he doesn’t want to hear anything else about it. Just go and come back to work when he is done.
So David goes to the HR office where he meets a nice lady named Lexy who gets David the paperwork he needs. And sends him to the doctor. Lexy is also kind enough to let David know he is part of a Union and this will not happen again. And they will take care of David not being sent to the doctor earlier and the proper paperwork filled out.
So now David is attending Therapy due to the injury on his neck and shoulder. And is supposed to be on light duty. And only work 8 hours which is his shift and come home with no overtime.
But that didn’t happen last night as Juan had David work from Noon until 10:00 pm. Which was 10 hours without any medicine as he can’t take it at work.
So here I sit today wondering what will happen when David goes into work this morning. And with this being a injury at work and Workers Comp. picking up the bill I am wondering if the airport will find a way to let David go. Once he is done with his therapy.
So here I sit again stressed and worried as we are behind on our bills since David has been missing work. And I know God knows our needs but I must tell you I am pretty Scared. And I just don’t know how much more I can handle.
So all I can do is place everything into”GOD’s” hands and ask if you would be so kind as to Pray for our family. As well as Davids job and our bills we owe. And that we can get caught up on the bills and not lose our home over all of this.
