NATIONAL PEACH ICE CREAM DAY is celebrated every year to honor and cherish the creation of Peach-flavored Ice Cream that stole the hearts of many. Peach Ice Cream is sweet, tangy, and it’s cold. Peach Ice Cream is everything you need in this hot weather!

Ice Cream has become a dessert that has its own fan base. From times of happiness to times of sadness, Ice Creams of different flavors play a great role in uplifting the mood. While new Ice Cream brands and flavors are launched every now and then, Ice Cream itself has existed for centuries. The creation of a dish similar to Ice Cream we have today can be traced back to the 4th Century B.C. when the Roman Emperor Nero ordered Ice from the Mountains and combined it with Fruit toppings.

Since there were no freezers during that time, there was no other way of possessing Ice. During 618–97 A.D., King Tang from China developed a method of creating Ice and Milk concoctions. In 1768, M. Emy from France published a book with recipes for frozen desserts. The first advertisement for Ice Cream, however, did not appear till 1774. It is after this period that Ice Creams began to gain popularity.

Like other Ice Cream flavors, the creation of Peach Ice Cream also has an intriguing story behind it. It all started when Auguste Escoffier, a French Chef created a new dessert for a dinner party. The sweet dish was a fascinating Ice sculpture of a Swan that was resting on Vanilla Ice Cream and was topped with Peaches and Sugar. In 1900, the Chef created a new version of the dessert containing Peaches with Raspberry Puree. It is this fusion of flavors and ingredients that later led to the creation of Peach Ice Cream.
