Children's Book Reviews Homeschool Resources

I would like to share a children’s activity book with you called Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book: Match-Ups, Word Puzzles, Quizzes, Mazes, Projects Secret Codes + Lots More. I received a copy of this activity journal in exchange for this review. Inside this post are my affiliate links if you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage from the items you purchase.

I was excited to find out Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book was created for curious kids because I don’t know about your children but my son can be very curious and Charlie will ask questions I may not know the answer to even though he is now a teenager. But if the truth was told I do the same thing. Do you?

Before you ask even David does the same thing. If Charlie were still #Homeschooled we could have studied #Oceans in #Science and used this activity journal to enhance our studies. As you may know Charlie has graduated but that doesn’t mean we need to stop learning. Charlie and I will be reading and working through the workbook in the evenings with David. Would you like to join us? Because no, matter how old you are you should still be willing to learn new things. Shouldn’t you?

Charlie and I liked the cover of the book which is blue and it has a rough texture but it can also be soft. Charlie thought the Crab sitting on the pencil would make a wonderful pet. Before you ask what I think no, I do not want a Crab. Although, David I’m sure wouldn’t mind having a Hermit Crab or two. What about you?

There is a border around the cover of the book with a picture and the title of the books that tells us what to expect to find in the book. This description could be turned into your children’s spelling words if your teaching your students spelling or want to enhance your children’s spelling.

Before you open the book you should make sure your children have pencils sharpened so they can get right to work. Looks like I need to run to the store to pick up pencils and to sharpen them before we get started.

My family liked how at the beginning of Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book gives us a list of items we can find inside the book . To keep our learning going even after we finish with the workbook we could use the list to create a Scavenger Hunt for our families to go on.

I would like to ask you a question. Would you like to do the Scavenger Hunt and look for supplies we will use the next time we use Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book. Here is a tip for you. I will have a ruler on hand even though there is one in the book so Charlie can practice reading and measuring the Animals. Would you like to join us because this can be your families Science Lesson for the week creating another teaching moment.

Charlie wanted me to let you know if your teaching a Science class you could join Charlie and I in making Kinetic Sand. This could also be a cooking class for anyone taking a Homeschool Cooking Class. In art you could have the students create figures with the Kinetic Sand which Charlie wants to do this this evening. Would you like to join us?

Inside Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book are art lessons were we learn to draw Animals. Once we finish with the #Animals we can write a secret message using the secret code provided to share with our friends and family.

Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book touches on the Ecosystem another #teachingmoment when you study the #Ecosystem in detail. Did you know inside this book you will have the opportunity to graph? Graphing could be a math class for those of us Homeschooling our children or those of us wanting to give our children a re-fresher in math.

If your able to once you finish the workbook with your children you should take a Field Trip to the Beach or Ocean. While at the #Beach or #Ocean look for the Sea Shells the Author mentions in Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book. For us there isn’t a Beach or Ocean close by but we could go to the Lake couldn’t we? Or my family could go on a Road Trip to the Ocean or Beach. Would you like to come with us?

I wanted to let you know there is so much to do inside Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book that I had to take a break from sharing everything because you need to pick up a copy of the book to share with your friends and family.

The workbook is perfect for Upper Elementary Students and children older as well as adults who will enjoy all of the activates but if parents help younger children they would find things in the workbook they could do as well. If your kids get stuck there is a answer key in the back of the book which Charlie and I didn’t have to use and I bet your children and students will not need it either.
