I would like to share a box of goodies you will find inside our Halloween Gift Guide 23: Wilton Cakes @wiltoncakes #wiltoncakes in exchange for this review.
When Suzzane was little, we would make cakes and cookies, but I hate to tell you Charlie is 16 and we’ve only made boxed cakes and cookies. With Charlie taking a Homeschool Home Economics Cooking Class it’s time to change that. Thanks to Wilton Cakes who sent us a box of Halloween baking goodie my family will be able to create all types of cookies, cakes and pies for our party.
There is even goodie bags we can fill with treats and hand out to our friends and family. Would you like to join us at our Halloween Party? We’ve decided on Sugar Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, and Chocolate Chips Cookies with a Chocolate Cake with White Icing and if there is enough time we would like to make an Apple Pie. We could use your help.
Inside my box of decorations is Icing Decorations of Assorted Knife and Cleaver Royal Icing Decorations, 12-Count. Charlie and David loved these and couldn’t wait to make Steak for dinner and place one of the knives on it even though I reminded them it’s for Cookies or Cakes. What can I say other than they like to think outside the box.
Charlie likes to play practical jokes on people, so he took one of my Halloween Severed Finger Icing Decorations, 1.5 oz. and placed it on the counter where we were preparing our cookies and called his dad into the kitchen after streaming, I cut my finger off. I need help. David came running and didn’t look close enough to see it was fake all he saw was a towel covered in fake blood. I thought David was going to pass out.
Charlie showed David and the box, and they had fun figuring out the best way to add Halloween Severed Finger Icing Decorations, to a box to shake up his friends and family. I don’t know about David and Charlie, but I can’t wait for my nephew to see the cake with a finger coming up out of it. Would you like a slice finger with your cake?
My favorite decorations were Zombie Hand Decorating Kit, 12-Count that looked like Frankenstein’s hands and are green and will look nice on our white icing with the chocolate sprinkles around the hand. The hand is bent making it look ore real. With designs on the hand that reminds me of blood. I don’t know about you but with all of these Halloween decorations I may never sleep again.
David has decided he is going to make a Graveyard Cake using Graveyard Tombstones & Bones Edible Decorations Kit which comes with tombstone toppers with the edible markers so Charlie can put our pets’ names who’ve passed on them or my parents or anything he comes up with. As long as it isn’t me because I\m not ready to die.
During the party Charlie and I are going to let the kids make and decorate cookies using Bat, Tombstone and Skull Halloween Cookie Cutter Set, 3-Piece and decorating them with Halloween Shapes 6-Cell Sprinkles Mix, I bet you Jason will ask to use skulls and Lily will want to use the white ghost and Charlie would use all of 6 sprinkles.
We also received Happy Ghost Halloween Silicone Spatula with Plastic Handle which is so cute with the ghost on it that I’ve decided to keep the spatula as a Halloween decoration and purchase more for Charlie to give to my sister and his grandmother when he gives them there Halloween WILTON HALLOWEEN HERE FOR THE BOOS RESEALABLE FALL TREAT BAGS, 20-COUNT we received.
There are 20 reuseable bags which is enough for everyone in our apartment complex. I like how they are resealable so we can use them again and again. Being clear you can see what is inside the bag without opening it. Remember there not just for treats but lunches and small toys and books as well as stickers for your children.
We also got back Black Cookie Icing, 9 oz. and Orange Cookie Icing, 9 oz with Black Buttercream Icing Pouch with Star and Round Tips, 8 oz. and Orange Buttercream Icing Pouch with Star and Round Tips, 8 oz. which will allow us to decorate not only cookies and cakes but pies and tarts as well. Both of the Icings are easy for children to use. Cleanup is fast and the Icing will not melt. It can be kept in as shelf for last minute decorating jobs.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
