Johnny Angel Published by Danielle Steel

The Mommies Reviews

Good morning, Before I begin my day I would like to share another Danielle Steel book I checked out at the Haltom City Library yesterday this new book is called Johnny Angel. As Charlie and I had to take the other books we had read and the movies we had watched back. So as Charlie went to find more movies on Wrestling I went to look for books for me to read.

I let Charlie and David know I was going over to the shelf with Danielle Steel books and they both said okay and went on there way. As I walked up to the shelf I was amazed at how many books of Danielle Steel I found that I wasn’t sure I had read before. So I grabbed a stack of her books to check out  and went back to where David and Charlie were.

They both just looked at me and the amount of books I had picked out and asked if I thought I would be able to finish them in 3 weeks as this is when they are do to be checked back into the library. I just looked at David and said your asking me if I would be done with these books in 3 weeks and I told  I should be done with most of them by Monday. So be prepared to bring me back to the library and David just shook his head and said okay Charlie you heard your mom you better be finished with the items you check out by Monday as well.

So last night we came home and David asked if I wanted to watch a show with him but there wasn’t nothing on I wanted to see. So I let David know I was going into my room to read until a show I wanted to see came on.  I grabbed one of the books I checked out at the library and crawled into bed.

Once I was settled, I started to read Johnny Angel and by the second chapter I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down.  Because I could relate to this families pain as I had lost Suzzane in a car accident. Before the end of the night I had almost read the entire book and this morning with tears pouring down my face I finished Johnny Angel.

All I have to say is why was Johnny Angel able to come back and help his family deal with their grief when Suzzane wasn’t and all I want is one more day with her. Just one more time to let her know I love her and a hug and I promise I would let her go. Although like this family I now have Charlie and that does help but it doesn’t take the feeling of grief away.

I would like to invite you to check out Johnny Angel by Danielle Steel if you have ever lost anyone you love. Although I would recommend having a handkerchief or a box of Kleenex around as Johnny Angel is a tearjerker. Although parts of Johnny Angel can be a little bit funny. As well as scary and Johnny Angel does keep you on the edge of your seat.

Johnny Angel

With a word or a smile, seventeen-year-old Johnny Peterson could light up a room, fill his mother’s heart with pride, and inspire the best in those around him. A star athlete and class valedictorian, tall, lanky Johnny had a future filled with promise–until he stepped into a car on prom night, dazzling in his rented tux, and in an instant, it was all taken away.

In the months that follow, Johnny’s family and high school sweetheart, Becky, struggle to put together the pieces of their shattered lives. No one is more devastated than Johnny’s mother, Alice, whose oldest son owned her heart from the day he was born. But amid the heartache, something miraculous is about to happen to the Peterson family, something that will alter the course of each of their lives. When a sudden illness sends Alice to the hospital, a glorious vision comes to her in her dreams. There, standing before her, is Johnny himself, with that familiar twinkle in his eye, gently urging his bewildered mother to be strong for her splintered family. For Alice, seeing her marvelous lost boy is a miracle she can’t quite believe but is more than willing to embrace. In the weeks to come, Johnny will appear in the most unlikely places, visible only to the two people who need him most: his nine-year-old brother, locked in a silent world, whose special needs Johnny always seemed to understand…and his mother, who has always nurtured her family, but who now needs a guardian angel of her own.

Through a season of hope and healing, Johnny will walk by his mother’s side, leaving miracles in his wake, leading his parents, his girlfriend, his sister, and his brother out of their grief. But as Alice is about to discover, Johnny has returned not just to help those he loves, but to uncover a purpose even he cannot comprehend–one that will change them all forever.

An unforgettable story of loving and letting go, of mixed blessings and second chances, Johnny Angel is a celebration of life, hope, and forgiveness. It will make you laugh and cry…and hold your loved ones just a little bit closer.
