Preparing for back to school this year is both exciting and sad as we venture into another year of Homeschooling. My son is going into High School 10/11 grade and if life doesn’t throw us any surprises Charlie will be able to graduate next year. I’m excited to share a new calenda Charlie has hanging up in his room Jimmy Chin Peak Moments 2024 Wall Calendar by Jimmy Chin (Author), Workman Calendars (Author) which I received in exchange for this review.
Jimmy Chin Peak Moments 2024 Wall Calendar doesn’t officially start until 2022 but Charlie was impressed with the pictures and wanted to showcase them. Through each illustration we’ve been able to add new places to our Homeschool Lessons and we will also be studying Jimmy Chin which I was familiar with. Were you?
Charlie and I also learned Jimhttps://amzn.to/47KdYwCmy Chin has written a book There and back which I would like to pick up a copy of for our Homeschool Reading Class. I hope you take the time to check out this amazing calendar that offers us 12 months of beautiful illustrations and places for notes, so everything is in one place and not written on any piece of paper you come into contact with. Keeping things organize in business, homeschool and our personal lives.
About:
Edge of the world.
No one captures the extraordinary beauty and vastness of the wilderness like Mountaineer and National Geographic photographer Jimmy Chin, author of the New York Times bestseller There and Back, and Oscar-winning director of the films Meru, Free Solo, The Rescue, and Return to Space. In this calendar, discover an unforgettable shot of the Middle Teton silhouetted against the stars of the Milky Way, climbers on Everest preparing to scale the final summit ridge, and icebergs, still and imposing, off the Greenland coast. It’s a breathtaking year of high-altitude and otherworldly images, all from the most extreme locations on Earth. Printed on responsibly sourced paper.
Meet the Author: Jimmy Chin
Jimmy Chin is an Academy® Award-winning filmmaker, National Geographic photographer, and professional mountain sports athlete. He has led or participated in cutting-edge expeditions around the world for over 20 years. He made the coveted first ascent of the Shark’s Fin on Mount Meru and is one of the only people to ski Mount Everest from the summit. His photographs have graced the covers of National Geographic Magazine and the New York Times Magazine.
Jimmy also co-produces and co-directs with his wife, Chai Vasarhelyi. Their film Meru won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and was on the Oscar shortlist for Best Documentary Feature. Their documentary Free Solo won a BAFTA, seven primetime Emmys, and the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Most recently they directed and produced The Rescue, a documentary chronicling the enthralling, against-all-odds story that transfixed the world in 2018: the daring rescue of twelve boys and their coach from deep inside a flooded cave in Northern Thailand.
Jimmy and Chai split their time between New York City and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with their daughter, Marina, and son, James.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
