Our family has had a fun and busy day which we spent as part of #PictureYourselfin MesquiteFamTour. We toured downtown Mesquite where I found quite a few businesses I would like to go back and check out.
A Farmers Market full of fresh veggies chichi I would have liked to purchase. From Crafts to Journals you can find all you need in the Farmers Market.
We visited Bear Creek Coffee and meet the owner and his family including his son Bear and no, that isn’t how the Coffee Shop got its name. To find out how you will have to visit Bear Creek Coffee .
Then we had lunch at the Park from Jason’s Deli. I chose a Club Sandwich which was very good. I’m ready to go get another Club Sandwich or one of the Baked Potato’s Jason’s sells.
Then it was off to Opal Lawrence Historical Park where we toured the properties and ended the visit with Cookies and Lemonade. The cookies was so good. Charlie said he should have brought them home with him.
Then back to Hampton Inn & Suites so we could rest before heading to the Mesquite Rodeo this evening. Which didn’t happen as Charlie wanted to go swimming and then I came to work a bit.
Now, I’m off to take a quick nap before I take Charlie to the kids area in the Mesquite Rodeo because I know once we arrive Charlie will not stop until the Rodeo ends.
I’m going to need another vacation just to recuperate from this one and everything we did. Not that I would change it for a million dollars. I look forward to returning to Mesquite at Christmas and checking out all the Holiday Plans they have for us.
I’m just said there Aquatics Center will be closes so my family may be back sooner because Charlie and David would like to go swimming here and they also would like to check out a couple restaurants we heard about and I would like to check out the Quilt shop downtown.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
