Good morning, How are you? Did you know today is National Spaghetti Day #nationalspaghettiday which is a staple in our home. We had been planning on having Nacho’s which has gone out the door. Can you guess what were having for dinner now? Charlie’s favorite meal Spaghetti and yes, before you ask Charlie is going to make Spaghetti in his Homeschool Cooking Class freeing me up to work.
Come share your recipe for Spaghetti with us. In ours we use Hamburger Meat, Preggo Spaghetti Sauce & Meatballs with Noodles and most of the time we add Italian Sausage in mild although sometimes we use Meatballs. We serve this with Garlic Bread and as a child my parents would make a Salad.
If you prepare Spaghetti in your home how do you make it? What do you serve with Spaghetti?

Recipe: It’s hard for me to give you exact measurements as I cook Ol-School A Pinch of that and a Smiggen of this and so does Charlie which drives David batty when he is making something Charlie ask for that I usually cook because I can’t tell him how much to use. LOL
- Brown your Hamburger Meat in a Skillet in a little bit of Oil before putting the Hamburger Meat in spray your pan with Cooking Spay we use Pam with Olive Oil.
- Season the Hamburger Meat with Italain Seasoning ( David doesn’t use it when he cooks Spaghetti but Charlie and I like the way it tastes)
- Once the Hamburger Meat is done drain it and set it aside.
- Put on a pot of water and to find out how much water you will need check the back of the Spaghetti Box. David adds Butter to the water but I don’t. Once the Noodles are Ale-Dente drain them and set aside.
- As the Meat and Noodles are cooking warm up the Spaghetti Sauce on warm.
- Once everything is done place the Noodles in a bowl add the Meat then the Spaghetti Sauce and stir it up and serve.
- Have the over pre-heated and place the bread in the oven once the Spaghetti is done it will be done
When Charlie was little he didn’t like everything added together so we would set it all out on the table and everyone could put what they wanted on there plate because Charlie didn’t eat Meat of any kind. Now we miss it all together before placing on the dinner table.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
