JAMES ROBERT WEBB’S NEW SINGLE “APRIL MAY” DEBUTS ON BILLBOARD INDICATOR COUNTRY CHART is a song I hadn’t heard of until I received the Press Release.
Once the release arrived I went to YouTube to listen to JAMES ROBERT WEBB’s single Aril May I became hooked on his voice. I couldn’t wait to share YouTube video with David.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 11, 2019) – Country crooner James Robert Webb debuted on the Billboard Indicator Country chart at No. 58 this week with his most recent single, “April May.”
The catchy tune, written by Webb himself, is a thoughtful play of words and continues to gain traction and attention of listeners, including its current position at No. 45 on the Music Row Country Breakout chart.
Produced by iconic producer Buddy Cannon, the song was released earlier this year with support from Spotify’s New Music Nashville playlist. It is available for streaming and download here.
“When we started out, ‘April May’ was the first song that I played for Buddy. It’s been a fan favorite ever since we started playing it. The song really seems to resonate with our younger fans and it’s been so cool to see that at live shows.
I want to thank the fans and I especially want to thank country radio for getting behind this song as it climbs the charts!,” said James Robert Webb.
Webb has over 400,000 streams on Spotify and has performed at acclaimed venues such as the Ryman Auditorium, Cain’s Ballroom and The Bluebird Cafe, to name a few.
His last radio single “Now We’re Gettin’ Somewhere,” rose to No. 24 on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart and No. 43 on Billboard Indicator Country chart.
About James Robert Webb
True to his blue-collar roots, James Robert Webb walks the line between traditional and contemporary country music. Raised on a small farm outside of Tulsa, he grew up listening to a wide variety of Oklahomans including Bob Wills, Garth Brooks and Leon Russell.
His sound is driven by his unique, indefinable voice and organic, neo-traditionalist style fused with modern production. His 2016 debut, Pictures, yielded two top-40 singles on the Music Row Country Breakout chart – “Makin’ Love Tonight” and “How That Feels.”
Both broke the top 60 on the Billboard Indicator charts. In 2019, one of country music’s most award-winning and renowned producer’s Buddy Cannon (Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson), took notice of Webb’s unique style.
The pair recently finished recording a full-length project coming soon. “April May,” penned by Webb himself, is the latest release climbing the charts and is on the highly anticipated upcoming project.
His music has continued to attract new opportunities for the “easygoing giant.” He recently played Calf Fry 2019, was chosen to headline the Southfork Music Festival in Parker, Texas and continues to play across the country connecting directly with the fans.
