Charlie and I was blessed yesterday to attend Jack and the Beanstalk in Mansfield at the Magnificent Theatre Company in Mansfield, Texas. Being Art Week in Mansfield children got into the play free which I didn’t know.
Jack and the Beanstalk was a nice treat. I only had four tickets but being my sister’s three day weekend I asked Debbie if she were home from Oklahoma if she would like to go with Charlie and I.
Debbie reminded me Jason was out of school and that he would enjoy spending time with Charlie. Which would have left Lily at home by herself. That wouldn’t have been fair.
I told Debbie Lily could come with us and we would purchase a ticket for Lily once we arrived. Tickets were only $5 which I didn’t mind spending for Lily to attend her first play.
We all got up early on Monday morning and got dressed as the Theater was about a hour from us. Once we arrived we parked and walked around downtown for a bit. It was Debbie and the kid’s first time to come to Mansfield.
If Debbie had been off on Saturday s Lily, Jason and he could have come with us to the Pickle Festival next Saturday but Debbie works. I just hope David gets off in time for us to do everything.
We walked into the Theater and walked up to the desk and picked up the tickets which was when I found out children got in free. Charlie took the kids inside while I went to the restroom.
I liked not having assigned seats so we could chose where we wanted to sit. I enjoyed hearing Charlie explain to Lily and Jason what was going to happen and what they could and couldn’t do including talking.
Jack and the Beanstalk show begin and the kids became so involved in everything going on stage that they didn’t move the entire play. We all liked how Jack and the Beanstalk was interactive.
The kids enjoyed seeing the Giants boot and getting to got to stomp and help the Giant remember what he should say. Jason wanted to bring the Hen Who Laid The Golden Egg home with us. Lily wanted the Cow..
Jack and the Beanstalk only lasted a hour which was perfect for Lily and Jason who are only 5 and 6. I can’t wait to bring them back to another play only we are going to invite there parents to come with us.
Debbie and I want to come back and see The Butler Did it. Even though the tickets are only $10 in celebration of Magnificent Theatre Company’s 1 year Anniversary at Farr Best Theater we do not plan on bring the kids.
Attending The Butler Did It will Girls Night Out .Unless, Charlie comes because he can he can use The Butler Did It for Homeschool. I believe David would also enjoy The Butler DId It!
