It’s Spring! Time to Jump, Run, Bike and Learn About ENERGY
I have been waiting for Spring to kick off my weight loss challenge as I thought it would be the most comfortable time to lose weight. We are always up and moving although if the truth told there isn’t an easy time. You have to put your mind to it and do it. Although not that it is pretty I can walk each day or ride my bike.
So I have been pestering David to take my bike and get it checked out. As it is over three years old and I wanted to get it washed, and the tires aired up before I venture out on it. Although like all men he hasn’t gotten around to doing it yet. So I just might have to talk to his dad about taking and getting it fixed for me.
As for Charlie both, his bikes are messed up, and instead of investing more money into them I have decided to purchase a new bike and Scotter for him so he can get outside each day and play with the other children. Charlie can go with me on my daily walking or bike riding journey. So I have someone with me in case I fall.
This morning for Science Charlie and I are learning about Potential Energy vs. Kinetic Energy, and I have a free download for us to use and thought you might like to check it out as well to use in your classroom. The free download is from Kids Discover and as your looking for Homeschool Resource you should check out their website.
What are your favorite spring activities? Energize your classroom with this free lesson sheet that explains the two states for which all energy exists: potential and kinetic.
Potential vs. Kinetic Energy
Scientists define energy as the ability to get work done.
The work can be anything from breathing to riding a bike to taking a nap. This free lesson sheet explains the two states for which all energy exists: potential and kinetic.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
