Welcome, this morning I would like to share a children’s book Charlie can read in his Homeschool Reading Class but we can study the song and creator Bob Marley in our Music Class. The book is called Is This Love? a family story based on the song by Bob Marley that I received in exchange for this review. A Chronicle Kids Book.
The children on the book seem to be underneath a blanket and I think it would be fun to create a tent and do our Homeschool in this morning. Would you like to help Charlie and I build a tent? Through the book we learn of a older siblings love for a younger sibling.
Through the book we learn of a bigger sister’s love for her little sister just as I have for my sister Debbie and my nephew Jason has for his sister Lily. Which makes me want to share Is This Love? with them. Would you like to read this new storybook with us?
I enjoyed seeing the big sister tell the little sister how she is going to love her through different scents including tucked into there beds. Then the bis sister ask “Is this love I am feeling?” The big sister talks about teaching her things she knows and watching her grow. You can see through the book there going to be best friends.
Through thick and thin they will be just like my sister and I. The big sister lets her know she will watch her as her dreams come true. Which I hope does for the big sister as well. Then we learn that what the big sister is feeling is love which is the best thing of all.
In the back of the book is a note from the Author and like her family is everything to me. How about you? As a child her parents taught her to love her siblings and they’ve brought that love into there own families. Just as I have with my children. Like me her three boys are her best friends. The story the Author let us know is adapted from the song and really stands for love.
This book is perfect for small children but anyone who enjoys Bob Marley’s music will enjoy the story. If you know of a new parents who are expecting please purchase a copy of Is This Love? for them to share with there children. Then look up the song and just get lost in the music.
