IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT THE BEATLES

The Mommies Reviews

I have grown up with the Beatles so for me I can’t IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT THE BEATLES. Although, for my son Charlie he might be able to imgaine a world without the Beatles.

Even though Charlie has heard of the Beatles music he wasn’t able to see the Beatles in person like my husband and I were able to do. Nor, has he lived through Beatlemania.

YESTERDAY
Yesterday

Which is why when I saw the Trailer for Yesterday I couldn’t wait for Yesterday to come to the local Theaters. I knew would Yesterday be a movie I had to see. I asked my husband David if he wanted to see Yesterday as well. David said it didn’t matter one way or another.

I’ve been researching and learning all of the Beatles songs so I can sing along with Yesterday when I’m able to go and see the movie . The nice part is Charlie is learning the songs with me but says he will not sing during the movie but I know both Charlie and David will because they love me and want to make me happy.

IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT THE BEATLES
From the director of SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE comes a heartfelt and original look at a fascinating alternate reality where The Beatles never existed. Only one guy remembers them. And he’s about to become a very big deal.
ONLY ONE PERSON REMEMBERS THE BEATLES. AND HE HAS A GUITAR.

Jack Malik is a struggling singer-songwriter fed up with his lack of success. Then one night, he gets the biggest break of his life – he gets hit by a bus. Simultaneously, power goes out all over the world, and a couple of Ob-La-Di’s later, The Beatles never existed. Just never happened at all. But since Jack remembers the songs, he realizes he’s got his ticket to ride to overnight superstardom. What could go wrong?

Directed by Danny Boyle (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) and written by Richard Curtis, (LOVE ACTUALLY) YESTERDAY is a heartfelt and original look at a fascinating alternate reality. Featuring a veritable jukebox of Beatles hits sung by the talented Himesh Patel (EASTENDERS), you’ll feel like you’re hearing the songs for the first time. Also starring Lily James as Jack’s best friend and confidante, and Ed Sheeran in the role he was born to play, Ed Sheeran.

Get in on the Beatlemania with our special YESTERDAY menu.
Happiness is a warm Pizza and Yesterday!!

The Beatles’ impact on pop culture is immeasurable. A lyric they wrote decades ago can still stir the heart today, and echoes of their old melodies can still be found in modern pop songs. But as influential as they are in the world of music, it’s been hard to capture their particular brand of magic on film.

Which is why we’re giving all our loving to Danny Boyle’s new comedy YESTERDAY, a film that celebrates The Beatles through a modern story about creativity and love. With an effervescent sense of fun and fantasy, we follow a middle-of-the-road songwriter named Jack Malik who wakes up one day to find he’s the only person on Earth who remembers The Beatles. And you better believe he cashes in on that.

To help you get in on the Beatlemania (or in this case Malikmania?), we’ve put together a special menu that’ll make you want to twist and shout (though no shouting during the movie, please).

Take a look at what we have in store for you below, then join us for YESTERDAY, opening June 28th.
I Am the Egg Pan
A cast iron baked frittata with roasted potatoes, asparagus, caramelized onions, and cherry tomatoes with a five cheese blend, served with toast. The lyrics to “I Am the Walrus” are probably too weird to incorporate here.
I Get Pie With A Little Help From My Friends
You won’t want to share any of this pizza with your friends, featuring Sgt. Chipotle Pepper sauce with cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, and roasted bell peppers, all topped with cotija cheese, green onions, and no Blue Meanies.
Here Come the Sun Cookies
It’s been a long cold lonely winter (figuratively speaking), but now these almond, orange, lemon, and honey soft-baked sugar cookies are here, and it’s alright.
Shake it Up Baby Shake
A delicious blend of Tangerine Dreams, Strawberry Fields, and vanilla ice cream.
And you can add a twist and shout of Grand Marnier to make it extra fab.

Hey Brewed
We couldn’t make it bad if we tried, but this blend of Flor de Caña 7 Year rum, RumChata, Alamo Cold Brew, and nutmeg might taste even better with a sad song.

Working Like a (Salty) Dog
With Bombay Sapphire gin, Liber & Co. ginger syrup, ruby red grapefruit, and salt, there are few better beverages to cap off a hard day’s night than this.

Bloody Mary Comes to Me
As The Beatles prove, you can never go wrong with a classic. This one blends Tito’s Vodka, Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur, spiced tomato juice, and salt.
