I would like to let you know even adults make mistakes and can take their spouses for granted and may not take the time to let them know we appreciate them. Or that we love them and assume they know how we feel although David is wonderful at telling me he loves me. I never seem to tell David I love him even though I do.
I would like to introduce you to Scott LaPierre Christian, Husband, Father, Pastor, Author & Speaker and and the three books Scott has published. Scott has changed the way I think about things and now no, matter who it is if “I LOVE THEM then I tell them. So yes, you readers on my blog I love and appreciate you.
In fact, if the truth were told David and I have been bickering more than usual because of finances and things happening in our home we have no, control over. I hate to say this is affecting Charlie. If things don’t change I am not sure our family will remain intact although I can’t imagine my life without David.
I have been Praying for help and doors are opening because I was able to review a new novel called Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships. I liked learning there was a workbook to use with Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships. After opening the novel I could tell Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships would be something David wouldn’t want to use.
I just went ahead on my own and began filling in the workbook and I have been reading Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships by myself. Then last night I broke done and let David know how I was feeling not knowing what he would say or do.
After talking to David I picked up Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships and Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships. I walked outside to sit on the deck.
I just sat there Praying and thinking about the years that had passed. Seeing all the things David and I have gone through playing like a movie. I could feel God telling me to not give up believing in David and things were going to change. Our family would be stronger than before.
That evening I went back inside and went to bed. Once I woke up this morning I sat down to work. David called to let me know about two Airplanes he catered and how God had Blessed his life this morning by allowing him to work on a plane full of Veterans which happened to be a Wounded Warrior Flight. David said he sat and listened to the things the Soldiers had gone through. Once David left the plane David said he knew God was letting him know he needed to change things in his personal life.
David asked me about the workbook I had been using and if I would help him read the workbook and work through the workbook with him. I let David know I would be happy to help him with this task. Then David asked if we could begin going to Church on Sunday evenings. I said that would be fine if he was home. When David let me know he told his boss he wasn’t going to work on Saturday’s anymore as he needed to be with his family.
As I heard all this, I could feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I talked to David about the workbook and the things inside the book including scriptures which helped me out. I let David know I thought we could also use these books with Charlie. As neither of us has been the parents we would like to be.
This is affecting Charlie in so many ways that I knew we needed to take a step back and not only take the time to rebuild our marriage but our family. I believe through Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships and Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships we have the first step in becoming the family we want to be and it’s reaffirming my Love for the lord. I also think these resources will help David reach out and trust the Lord more and to combat all the stress he has been under.
Marriage God’s Way: A Biblical Recipe for Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationships
God wants your marriage to be a joy and blessing, but you must embrace the principles in His Word!
Nearly everything in life comes with instructions–from the cell phones we use to the automobiles we drive. Yet when it comes to marriage, many people struggle without proper guidance. Couples experience pain and conflict when love and joy should flourish. The good news is there are instructions for marriage too, written by the One who created marriage. In Marriage God’s Way, Pastor Scott LaPierre presents these biblical instructions combined with:
- Personal stories and application to daily life
- Explanations of the roles and responsibilities God has given husbands and wives
- Answers to common questions about godly love and how to show it, headship and submission, intimacy, and establishing an indestructible foundation for your relationship
God intended marriage to be one of the greatest gifts on this side of Heaven. In Marriage God’s Way, whether you are preparing for your wedding, newlyweds, or marriage veterans, you will learn the Recipe for a Healthy, Joyful, Christ-Centered Relationship.

“Most Christian books on marriage today don’t have much Scripture in them. Not this one. It is saturated with the Word of God. If you want a book that is built on the foundation of the exposition of Scripture, this book is for you. While Scott offers many practical insights, they are all grounded in the biblical text using biblical language.
Marriage God’s Way will fill your mind with the pure and perfect Word of God. This is what every marriage needs.”–Scott T.Brown–Husband of thirty-one years, director of the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches, pastor, speaker, and author of A Theology of the Family
“With the divorce rate for believers lagging just behind that of unbelievers, there is no shortage of Christian books on marriage. Unfortunately, few of these books offer lasting effectiveness, because they lack the authority and wisdom of Scripture. Most merely weave together tidbits of human wisdom and pop ideas spiced up with random verses.
Pastor Scott understands that strong marriages need more than tidbits of wisdom and pop ideas. He knows that as the Designer of marriage, God gave us His Word as an owner’s manual. Therefore, in Marriage God’s Way, Scott draws upon the authority and wisdom of the Bible to help every couple find the passion, intimacy, and romance that God intended.”–Reb Bradley–Husband of thirty-eight years, pastor, speaker, founder of Family Ministries, and author of Child Training Tips
“Marriage God’s Way is a book that will greatly bless your marriage. Pastor Scott combines personal experience, pastoral care, and above all, clear teaching from Scripture to guide his readers into a proper understanding of what God intends for their marriage. In a world where marriage is often considered a hopeless attempt at fleeting happiness, a book like this will give the Christian couple biblical perspective, good counsel, and hope for their future together. If you are looking for help to restore your struggling marriage, or you just need a good reminder of why godly marriages work, this book provides sound guidance, and I highly recommend it to you.”–David Eddy–Husband of twenty-five years and Senior Pastor of Manchester Community Church
“Marriage God’s Way captures the heart of a profoundly needed biblical perspective for marriages everywhere. This is a must read for anyone who desires to embrace and reflect the beauty of Christ in their relationship.”–James Lindstrand–Senior Pastor of Cottonwood Creek Community Church and author of Porn, Purity and Pickles
