I thought I would share a book with you based on a Musical Group your children might recognize that I received in exchange for this review which is I LOVE BTS.
I remember as a teenager picking up Teen Beat magazine and now, I’m aging myself and papering my walls with the posters. Fast forward Suzzane did the same thing and was obsessed with Back Street Boys. Now, I have Charlie and there isn’t any posters on the wall other than motivational sayings an Kobe to keep him motivated in Basketball.
When I let Charlie know, this new book was coming and asked if he knew who the group was he didn’t know and none of his friends did either. Which was fine because it allowed us to look up and study their music for our Homeschool Music Class. As well as look them up online and get to know them.
When the book arrived, Charlie couldn’t wait to sit down and thumb through it. Charlie even read the book for his Homeschool Reading Class and answered the prompts for his Creative Writing Class. Charlie and I were able to discuss what the army was and why or why we wouldn’t want to become part of it and which musicians we would want to join if they had a army.
Charlie and I loved how the Author explained who each person was and there nicknames which made us feel like we had made new friends. WQe learned they started in Korea which gives us another Country to study in our Homeschool Geography class. Would you like to join us in our studies? We can even prepare Korean foods in our Cooking Class.
The book discusses their songs which we will be playing in the background as we work on our book so Charlie and I can discuss what we like about the song in our Homeschool Music Class and Charlie can perform in Drama Class. For PE we can discuss there dance style then Charlie can create his own signature dance. Would you like to join us?
Through the book Charlie and I learned about choreographers we hadn’t heard of before leading to more lessons in our Drama Class as we researched them. I was amazed to find out they have a cooking show which Charlie and I plan on watching BTS Recipe this week in our Homeschool Cooking Class. Would you like to join us?
The book mentions the boy’s pets including a Sugar Glider which will allow Charlie and I to research and study a new animal this week in our school and looking up were to go see one for a Homeschool Field Trip. Would you like to come with us? They even have their own language and now, Charlie and I are going to make our own up and no, were not going to tell David what we’re saying.
