I Have An Announcement To Make!

I Have An Announcement To Make! My beautiful daughter Leslie will be here for a month as Toby is heading to California and 29 Psalms for the month for training for the Army. Please Pray for Toby as he travels and Leslie as she packs up the apartment and gets the dogs ready to come to her great grandmothers to stay.

Once Toby gets back then he will be sent to Iraq at any time. We don’t know the date he will be departing, and he will be gone for nine months if not longer. Which for us is both bittersweet and exciting as most of there marriage Toby and Leslie have spent in different States due to the places Toby worked. Leslie will be moving back up here, and I am so excited about as she is having her first baby.

Which we think is a boy although we will not know for sure until the 29th of this month and this means Toby will miss most of the babies the first year of life. But Toby is doing the best thing for his family as he will have a career that will take care of all of them.

I would like to announce Leslie will be helping out on the blog along with Charlie. So this will lead to us adding a Military Army section to the blog. Along with items for first-time moms/ parents and also reviews on things for parents and tips for new moms.

Please allow me to introduce you to Leslie and Toby. They are both 22 and live in Fort Hood at the moment. Toby is a machine specialist in the army. Once the baby is born, Leslie may go to College as she wants to be a veterinarian.

Welcome home Leslie I am so Proud to have you join Charlie and me on the blog, and we might have to have you start your own. Toby thank you for being a wonderful father and husband and once your home we may have to add you to the blog.

May God keep you both safe.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

  1. Right now, Twentynine Palms is a wonderful place to be. It’s a bit cold, but I’m sure he’ll enjoy himself. There is nothing like the desert in the winter. I should know, I live east of two-nine.

    1. Welcome and unfortunately or fortunately Toby wasn’t able to go as he was diagnosed with 2 forms of Cancer and we are waiting on the results to find out if he will stay in the service or be medically discharged.
