I am not sure about all girls, but when I was smaller, I told my mom I was going to grow up and marry a cowboy. Why a cowboy I am not sure, but the gentleman I married would need to be a cowboy.
For a while in high school, I did date a guy who wanted to be a cowboy and rode a bull. But let me tell you a secret Ed wasn’t a real cowboy but a wannabe cowboy. Opp’s Ed I shouldn’t have said that but you know it is true. As for Ed, I do still see him, and it didn’t take him long to stop riding or to stop wearing a cowboy hat and portraying himself a cowboy.
Now before you ask no, I never did get me a real cowboy. Instead, I got David, and he is the best guy I could ever have. David gave me Charlie, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.
So the other night we all went out to a Network Meeting at Big Will’s Bounce House and Will put up this bounce house with the bull inside it for the children and adults to play on.
Before you ask I didn’t get up on the bull or even play inside the house as I knew I would fall off and didn’t want to do that in front of everyone. Nor could I get David up on the bull although he says he has ridden real bulls in the past.
I tried to talk Charlie into getting on the bull, and he wouldn’t do it either. So all I got was a picture of him in front of the cow. But I hope one day when we are out at Will’s that all of us try and ride this bull.
I have a question for you would you have ridden this bull? Or do you think your children would have? What do you think they would have thought of the cow and why would they think that?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
