Disclosure: I got Hugo The Happy Starfish Teamwork as part of an advertorial. All opinions are my own.
How are you this afternoon? How has your week been going? As we begin a new week I wanted to let you know I’m here this morning to share a new children’s book Hugo The Happy Starfish Teamwork with you.
A children’s book written by Suzy Libermann. In this Hugo the Starfish you will learn about Teamwork. Be watching to see if Hugo The Happy Starfish learns Teamwork and if so how it is accomplishes it.
I would like to talk you about kids and “Teamwork” which Charlie is struggling with. Part of teamwork is cooperation. I saw Charlie struggling I decided to look online for a book that dealt with teamwork.
I was able to find Hugo The Happy Starfish which Tomoson sent me a copy of the book for this review. The thoughts in the review is mine and my families. No, one else.
I’ve read and reviewed the books Suzy Libermann publishes because I love the stories she tells. Her children’s books deal with problems kids face and they aren’t only problems kids face but adults as well.
Every time I read a Hugo The Starfish books I find I learn something new or a new way to deal with a problem that has been plaguing our friends or family.
I’ve enjoyed sharing Hugo the Starfish books with my friends and family. I know they will learn something as well. I also know they would enjoy the illustrations inside the Hugo the Starfish books as much as I did. The colors in the stories pop. and the colors are so fun and vibrant that they would make nice pictures to hang on the wall.
The newest book we was able to read and review from Hugo the Starfish series is about Teamwork. Which Charlie is having trouble grasping especially at home. It seems that he expects David and I to do everything for him. Charlie doesn’t want to do the things we ask Charlie to do. I asked his teacher about his attitude at school and she says Charlie is doing fine there but will make sure he is taking turns and watching to see if he gets frustrated or angry like he does at home.
I sat down and read Hugo the Starfish book to him I asked him if he the character reminded Charlie of anyone he knows. Charlie says he saw his daddy and I asked him why he thought his dad was in these books. Charlie says because when they play Sky Scrappers his dad doesn’t want to share. Which is true as I am always reminding them to share or I will take it away.
I then asked Charlie if he saw himself in the book and he said that he did. I asked when and he said when he also plays Sky Landers and board games with us as he doesn’t like to share or take turns. So this allowed us to examine the way we handle things and since we read the book I have noticed that Charlie and David and I are all doing better at working together which I am so happy to have had happen.
One of the things I love about these books is that they are good for children of all ages. They will work for readers from beginners to experienced readers. I like knowing if you visit there website that it comes with worksheets the kids can do to make the books last longer. Hugo the Starfish are perfect homeschooling books.
