Hugo The Happy Starfish is called called Yes, I Can! I would like to let you know received a code so I could get a copy to read and review on behalf of Tomoson so I could conduct the review. But the thoughts in the review are all mine and my families.
One of the things I do not worry to much about with Suzzane was her having confident but with Charlie I do as he has a tendency to be shy at times. Plus he lets other children push him around. So I wanted to have him read Hugo The Happy Starfish and Yes, I Can as it shows how Hugo gained confidence and I thought it would help out Charlie. Which it did. It showed him it is OK to make mistakes and I was also able to show him that even adults do as well but that it should not affect our confidence.
Charlie and I also shared the website with his teacher and the librarian in his school and both said they would like to have these books in there classrooms. I also showed them the website and the worksheets on there and they was so impressed with the site that they was going to share it with the Principal to use in the school.
I like knowing the book comes in a couple different languages and that it can either be a read along book or a stand along book. With Summer right around the corner and my wanting Charlie to not forget what he has learned in school this year I will be using the website and worksheets as well as the books to keep learning fresh to Charlie. I think other parents should as well.
If you home school your children them you should add these books to your curriculum as it will help with the reading lessons you need to teach.
All in all just like all of the other books we have read this one as a huge hit and I think it would make a wonderful gift for teachers as well as children. But even parents can learn from it and would enjoy it. As the story is fun to read and the pictures are so fun and so full of color.
