This is a review for a book called Diary of the Cat Named Carrot which I was sent to review. The thoughts in this review is mine and my families. No, one else.
For me personally this has been a week from HELL…. If you were to ask Charlie and David they would agree with me. I ended up getting a Sore Throat Sunday night.
Monday I began to run a fever and just felt horrible. I ended up sleeping most of Monday and Tuesday. Then Tuesday night Charlie’s Throat begin to hurt.
On Wednesday be began to run fever and fast forward to today which is Sunday and were both still not feeling well. We were tired of sleeping and didn’t want to watch TV.
With school being on hold I asked Charlie if he wanted to read a couple books to help catch up on school. Charlie agreed. I went into my office to get Diary of the Cat Named Carrot .
Charlie is always watching Animal Videos on YouTube so I wanted to see if he recognized Carrot. I sat down and asked Charlie if he wanted to read the book or if he wanted to.
Charlie said we could take turns. We flipped through the book but kept getting stopped by the pictures. Before we got half-way though the book Charlie and I both decided we needed to adopt a cat. Now we just need to convince David.
The only problem would we find one as kind as Carrot. I sure hope so that is if David says we can. In the meantime the more we read the more I could see Charlie trying to figure out something.
I see him pick up his phone which he isn’t supposed to do when were reading together. This time I let Charlie because I wanted to see what he was looking for.
Before I knew it he had found a video of Bailey and asked me to watch it with him. Once we finished I flipped over to Carrots YouTube page and explained to Charlie that the cats had lived with the same family.
Charlie was so surprised that he couldn’t wait to call my niece Lily and Jason to tell them about both cats because they used to watch Bailey’s videos with Charlie.
Once we finished Diary of the Cat Named Carrot Charlie ask if his dad David would take our copy over to Lily and Jason who wanted to read the book as well.
I can’t wait until Charlie and I are better so Lily and Jason can come over and we can read Diary of the Cat Named Carrot and watch the videos together.
As well as give all three kids the Gifts I have for them which is a copy of Diary of the Cat Named Carrot and Bailey, No Ordinary Cat for there home libraries.
If you haven’t heard of this amazing cat I hope you take the time to check out the book and the video and if you don’t have a cat I hope you think about adopting one.

Famous Feline Shares Heartwarming Journey from Shelter Kitty to Social Media Sensation
Chicago, IL, April 19, 2021 — From spa days and birthday parties, to playing dress-up and Target “shopping,” the humanlike antics of an affable ginger tabby named Carrot have been shared with the famous feline’s nearly 300K Instagram followers, capturing the attention of human celebs like Ellen DeGeneres and Katie Couric.
The social media sensation is now giving readers a glimpse into a year in her furry, fun-filled life in her new book, Diary of the Cat Named Carrot, an uplifting, instantly stress-reducing story told from Carrot’s perspective.
From her humble beginnings as a tiny orange stray to being welcomed into a loving family—including Erin Merryn and her young girls Abby, Hannah and baby Claire—through her rise to internet stardom, Diary of the Cat Named Carrot chronicles her remarkable journey.
Carrot lived in the same shelter that had once housed the family’s previous internet star, Bailey, whose adventures were featured in Bailey, No Ordinary Cat.
Much like Bailey had, Carrot loves spending time with her human family partaking in typically human pastimes: making mischief with her girl gang; joyriding in a pint-sized pink Barbie Jeep; doing arts and crafts; modeling a pink tutu and flowery headband; enjoying a spa day complete with fluffy robe and cucumber eye treatments; and celebrating Christmas, Easter and every holiday in between.
It’s no wonder Carrot’s videos have gone viral—garnering attention from Ellen, the Dodo, Good Morning America, Access Hollywood, People and many other media outlets.
Diary of the Cat Named Carrot is packed with color photos that will leave readers purring with delight. The journal of this sweet, adorable kitty with personality to spare shows us that the human-animal bond runs more than fur deep. It is a love that will last a lifetime.

Bailey, No Ordinary Cat (Hardback)
For fans of Grumpy Cat and Cats on Instagram there’s a new cat in town—Bailey, No Ordinary Cat—of the Facebook name, is a special cat with a growing fan base, garnering over 2 million views on Ellen’s Instagram and videos that have been shared by Good Morning America, ABC News, CBS News, and more.
What makes Bailey more addictive than catnip? In addition to his adorable expressions and his hilarious, heartfelt antics, Bailey has a penchant for doing things that are characteristically uncatlike—things like taking bubble baths (and enjoying them), sitting attentively in a chair and being read to (for hours), getting a “pet”-icure, and his unending patience while co-raising his human siblings Abby and Hannah (yes, there is photographic evidence that Bailey helped with potty-training).
If you have a cat you know how independent they are. Bailey, No Ordinary Cat celebrates the unique quirky spirit of this unforgettable feline through four-color photographs and captions from the voice of Bailey himself.
Cat lovers will be delighted to peek into the life of their favorite celebrity cat with the huge eyes, huge heart, and huge personality—and an ever-growing following.
Thank you,
