I would like to introduce you to a new Gardening Book which is inside your Christmas Gift guide 23: Houseplant Hookups: All the Dirt You Need to Find the Perfect Match by Agatha Isabell and Illustrated by Maily Degan which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.

I remember as a child helping both my grandparents garden but I don’t remember my mom or dad ever doing much in gardening. Except for my dad mowing and planting one Rose bush when I was growing up. I hate to admit it but my sister and brother are the same and not much for gardening.

Although, my sister does like flowers and Debbie has built in flower beds at her home that aren’t used. Even though I’ve given her flowers for them numerous times. David can garden and doesn’t mind helping me but if we didn’t have flowers it wouldn’t bother him at all.

As for Charlie he has been gardening with me since he was little and also with David’s mom Sherry. Before we moved from our Trailer I finally had the yard they way I wanted it. Then we moved her to the town home and the LORD knew my needs before I did and provided a front porch, back porch and also a upstairs balcony for me.

Which gives me plenty of places to decorate for the Holidays as well as giving me space for a garden which I am grateful for. Winter will be here before we know it and I’ve going to have to move the plants inside or look for new ones for the house.

Before you ask if I have room for plants inside I do in front of the couch is the perfect space for a indoor garden and there is a huge window for the plants to get Sunshine from. All I need to do is research which plants would be perfect for inside our home and thanks to Hookups: All the Dirt You Need to Find the Perfect Match I have all the help I need.

Not only that Charlie and I will be reading this book together for his Homeschool Reading Class and also Home Economics. Charlie is so funny he tried to tell me the background f the book is pink which means its for girls. LOL Plus there is a bottle of Wine on the cover making the book for adults which isn’t true even children can learn from this amazing book if they take the time to read it.

Charlie and I had fun browsing through the table of contents picking out the sections we couldn’t wait to read. As we read the book for Charlie’s music class we had Looking For Love playing in the background because that is what the book stresses we do.

Remember when gardening you have to put yourself out there. Which is hard for Charlie and I. How about you? Did you know picking a plant is like online dating? In this book you will find that out and so much more. You will even encounter relationship problems so you need to be prepared.

I love how inside the book we find out about plants I had never heard of which is going to take Charlie and I on a Field Trip to a Gardening/ Plant Store. Would you like to come with us? In the back of the book is a Plant-Based Personality Quiz I am having Charlie and David take with me. Would you like to take the quiz as well?

Charlie thought it was funny to find a quick and dirty index in the back of the book but it had so much useful information that we would have been lost without it. With the Christmas Holidays right around the corner  Houseplant Hookups is the perfect gift for any plant lover you need including adults and children alike.
