Hour is Come: A British Cozy Murder Mystery with a Female Amateur Sleuth (A Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery) by Victoria Tait

I would like to share a new Murder Mystery book which is part of a series. The new book is called Hour is Come: A British Cozy Murder Mystery (A Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery) by Victoria Tait (Author). I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. Inside this post is my affiliate links if you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage off the products you purchase.

David and I’ve been watching more Mystery shows but there hasn’t been anything new for us to watch. David picked out a new tv series to watch that I couldn’t get into. I decided I would read a book while David watched his show. I found Hour is Come a murder mystery and being a series I knew I would have something to read for a while.

Hour is Come isn’t Victoria Tait’s first murder mystery she also has the Kenya Kanga Mystery series and before you ask yes, I will be checking them out as well. Hour is Come is the first book in the Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery series and the prequel book which introduces a delightful young woman whose new life as a widow has also brought about a sense of “freedom.”

Dotty Sayers is still struggling with some loneliness at home, but she is enjoying working at the antiques center, making friends, and learning the nuisances of an exciting auction community. Dotty also has found, through unofficial means, that helping the novice Constable Varma is exciting, and liberating in a way, and she just might have a knack for uncovering secrets. Along with a clever mystery fraught with lots of questions, curious details, and a bit of peril, Dotty has an important decision to make about her future. That’s the cliffhanger…what does she decide?

The prequel is only available through the author’s newsletter although if it’s a prequel, it’s 240 pages and a full mystery story introductory novella for the Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery. If you were to ask me what genre of story this is I would say it’s a contemporary mystery, although it has the feel of a classic murder mystery show from earlier times which would make a fantastic movie.
