It’s Monday, May 13, 2019, and time for us to share a Math website with everyone. The Recommended Website: is HoodaMath. If you have used this Resource with your children leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of HoodaMath. HoodaMath Age Range: 5-18 (Grades K-12, with parental supervision) HoodaMath is an ad-supported website that offers over 1,000 math games to learn and practice basic math skills for kindergarten through high school. When you get to the site, you can choose one of the featured games or you can scroll down to see: Math Games by Grade, Math Games by Subject – Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Integers, Algebra Notice that the games can be sorted by game style as well – such as games that require the player to escape, shop, grow, etc. You’ll also find links to some animated math “movies” and math tutorials that provide instruction in Whole Numbers, Decimals, Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Percent, Integers, Order of Operations, Algebra, and Geometry designed for grades 3-8. The videos are meant to be entertaining, but may seem silly to more mature kids. To find the movies and tutorials, along with math tests and math manipulatives, scroll to the menu at the bottom of the home page. IMPORTANT: Every game is free to play but is accompanied by a randomly generated advertisement. As always, parents should preview the website and supervise all Internet access. |
