This week Charlie picked out the Board Game we will be using when we #HomeschoolWithBoardGames: Classic Yahtzee Winning Moves Games which was one of my moms favorite Games. I like using this because its good for Math and Counting. Would you like to play with us?
Poor Charlie says he never gets Games just to play with all he gets is School Supplies for Homeschool. As Charlie and I got Classic Yahtzee out to play David reminded me he would like to play on Family Game Night when he is off from work. Would you like to join us?
I sat down at the Dining Room table because its Free Day for Homeschooling for Charlie. I asked Charlie if he wanted to play Classic Yahtzee with me and he said yes. Charlie didn’t even realize we were doing math when he counted his score.
Or having a reading class when Charlie had to read the score sheet to know what he had rolled including a Yahtzee of Full House. All Charlie knew was we were having fun. For Charlie that was the neatest thing of all and I have to agree with Charlie who I love spending time with making new memories.
Ae was played Yahtzee I kept thinking about what the counselor Charlie used to go to said about Board Games and why we should play them with Charlie. Like the Counselor said Charlie was calmer and more focused and Charlie’s reading is getting better. Along with his math which Charlie is learning to do 2 digit math thanks to the games we’ve been playing.

Reading Class:
Ask the individuals waiting to play to sit down at the Dinning Room/ Game Table. Then set the Board Game up. Read the instructions to the players and once you finish ask them questions to make sure they understand what is going to happen and why. Then let them ask you questions to make sure you understand what is going to happen and why.
Inside your Reading Journal write down notes you want to check on throughout the year. Include who played the Game. Who won and who lost. Were they good winners and losers?

Write the Spelling Words inside your Spelling Journal. Include definitions for each word inside your Spelling Journal.
Math Class:
Ask one of the players to roll the dice and create 45 math problems for you to work out. Then you use the dice and create 5 math problems for them to work out.
Write the math problems inside your math journal.
Drama Class:
Act out a Scene that happened in the game. Explain what your acting out. Write the explanation inside your Drama Journal.
Art Class:
Create a piece of Art based on the Game. Include a explanation that you will write inside your Art Journal.
Music Class:
Create a Song/Jingle based on the Game that could be used in a Commercial. Act out the Song/ Jingle for your parents. Then write the Song/Jingle inside your Music Journal.
Cooking Class:
Create a Snack based on the Game that can be served while playing the Game. Write the Recipe inside your Cooking Journal which will be turned into a Cookbook at the end of the year.
