Homeschooling Tips: Melissa Worrell

The Mommies Reviews

This morning I would like to share Homeschooling Tips brought to you from Melissa Worrell from Doodle MAINEia a website whose mission is to bring calm to the chaos of life through the love of canine companionship.

Melissa was kind enough to send me the following information to share with everyone:

Melissa says when your starting to homeschool for the first time, one of the most important things you need to do is contact your States Department of Education to see what the rules and regulations are that your state enforces. Each State is different and varies from relaxed right on up to strict regulations.

Once you have fulfilled your States requirements then the next step is to decide your style of homeschooling. There are online schools that will teach your child all the classes that are required.

Three very popular Christian based online schools are:
Abeka, Monarch, and BJU or Easy peasy

For secular online classes check out secular online programs:
ABCmouse.com Funcationacademy.com opententacademy.com

I’ve only touched upon a few online choices that are out there. A simple online search of online homeschooling classes which will open up many more choices for you.

Thanks for stopping into Doodle MAINEia! My name is Melissa and I would describe myself as a compassionate animal lover who is committed to doing things right.  I have a thriving Alpaca Farm with award winning alpacas, so I am no stranger to the importance of good genetics.

What sets our family farm apart, however, is the loving bond we have with our animals. Our dogs live with us in our home where they receive the utmost care and love. My whole family has been transformed through these relationships. Elizabeth and I knew that our endeavor had to not only create top-quality dogs, but create an opportunity for others to have a fulfilling relationship through the heart-melting love of a doodle.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
