Homeschooling and Halloween

Homeschooling and Halloween do you know what these two things have in common? If you asked me a month ago what they had in common I would have said I have no clue.Image result for picture of homeschool kids celebrating halloween

Although things have changed in our home this past week. So now,  I can tell you what Homeschooling and Halloween means and why it means that for families.

Charlie is Homeschooling full time which means we can have a Halloween party in our classroom. Because we own the school we can do anything we want in our classes.

Especially during the Halloween Party, we will be hosting. We don’t have to get permission on what snacks we want to serve and Charlie and I can serve anything.

I love Homeschooling because if Charlie still attended Public School he wouldn’t be having a Halloween Party. Charlie couldn’t wear his costume to school and neither could I.

But by Homeschooling we can wear our costumes to school and we will today!! Then we will make  fun desserts and foods to have for lunch. After lunch we will watch scary movies and read books about Halloween.

With this being our first Holiday Homeschooling  I wanted to end the week with a bang. Were going to have a free day today and make Zombie Dirt Cups, watch movies and read books and just hang out because its raining  and if were not careful we might float away.

I was looking around online for snacks we could make and I found Zombie Dirt Cake on Sugar Spice and Family Life. I know Charlie will like Zombie Dirt Cake a lot.

Charlie and I can make Zombie Dirt Cake for the children in the neighborhood. Or Charlie and I can make them for his grandparents and invite them to our Halloween party.

Once you check Zombie Dirt Cake out let me know what you think? Would you make Zombie Dirt Cake?  If you would who would you make Zombie Dirt Cake for?

If your Homeschooling and celebrate Halloween will you be hosting a Halloween party? If so  share pictures of your party with Charlie and I. Did you decorate your classroom? Were thinking about it.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
