Welcome to our Homeschool Resources: Science. I have a question for you. Are you good at Science? If your Homeschooling your children do you have any trouble teaching Science? I don’t even know were I should should begin which is why I thank the Lord for these websites. If you’ve used them let me know what you thought of the resources and why.

Homeschooling Resources Science Lessons

IRIS– Grades 5-12, with parental supervision

This site offers free science tools, lessons, animations, software and more to help students learn all about seismology, plate tectonics, earthquakes, geology and much more!

ACS: Middle School Chemistry– Grades 6-8, with parental supervision

The American Chemical Society offers free, downloadable Chemistry lessons for grades 6-8, that align with state standards. The multimedia lessons really illustrate the concepts and make them accessible to a wide variety of learning styles and aptitudes.

Turtle Diary – Science– Grades PreK-5, with parental supervision

The subjects covered include various animals, plants, water, matter, sound, parts of the body, dinosaurs, the solar system, and the four seasons

Beautiful Images of Biological World– All Grades, with parental supervision

This website, created by Roger C. Wagner, vividly demonstrates how computers can be utilized to enhance biological images, such as electron micrographs of molecules and cells, and models of biological entities.

Rock-It Science- Grades 2-9 approximately, but fun for all ages

You and your kids can watch some Rock-It Science Videos of classes and fun experiments for free!

Planets– Grades 3-12 approximately, with parental supervision

This ad-supported website has free scientific fact sheets containing “Everything You Ever Wanted To know About Our Solar System.”

Zooniverse– Grades 4 & up approximately, with parental supervision

This website “is home to the internet’s largest, most popular and most successful citizen science projects” developed by the Citizen Science Alliance.
