It’s hard to believe that were come to the end of March and my family hasn’t been to the movies at all this year. Which is going to change soon because I want to take Charlie to see Ghostbusters Frozen which came out last week as part of our Homeschool Field Trips. Would you like to come with us? To prepare us for the movie were going to rewatch all the earlier Ghostbuster movies and in our reading class Charlie will be reading Ghostbusters – Fan Guide Celebrating 40 Years of Ghostbusters, All About the Frozen Empire.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a 2024 American supernaturalcomedy film directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. Monday:

Write your Spelling Words 5 times each in your Spelling Journal in ABC order.

Tuesday:

use your Spelling words in sentences that you write inside your Spelling Jorunal.

Wednesday:

Use your Spelling words inside a story you create in your Spelling Journal and include a picture with your story.

Thursday:

Take a Pre-Spelling Test if you miss any of the words write them 10 times each in your Spelling Journal.

Friday:

If you missed any words on your Pre-Spelling Test retake the test if you made a 100 take today off and do something fun with your family.

Reading Class:

Charlie will be reading Ghostbusters – Fan Guide Celebrating 40 Years of Ghostbusters, All About the Frozen Empire. Monday through Thursday and writing 2 facts a day inside his reading journal.

On Friday Charlie will turn the facts he collected into a report to be read out loud to his parents.
Take a picture of you reading the report for your reading journal.

Math Class:

Charlie will be researching all of the Ghostbuster films and collecting fats he will use to create math problems for someone in his family to work out. Then Charlie will have his family use the facts for math problems for Charlie to work out.

Charlie will write the math problems inside his math journal.

Drama Class:

Watch Ghostbusters” Frozen Empire and act out your favorite scene for your parents.

Write a description of your performance in your Drama journal and include a photo of your performance.

For a Field Trip visit a Costume Store or Vintage Clothing Store and pick up a outfit like they would have worn in Ghostbusters to wear during your perfomance.

Take a photo of you and include it in your Drama Journal with a description of your performance.

Music Class:

Look up the Soundtrack for the movie and learn one of the songs to perform for your parents.

Write the lyrics to the song inside your Music Journal and include a photo of your performance.

Art class:

Use all of the information you collected and create a piece of Art using different Art supplies for the Art Contest you will be holding at the end of the year.

Include a illustration of your Art work and a picture inside your Art journal.

Cooking Class:

Watch the movies and if there is food they eat prepare the food for your parents and include the recipes inside your Cooking Journal which will be turned into a cookbook at the end of the year and include a photo of your recipe.

Or look up one of the Actors and prepare what foods he likes to et or what State they are from and create the recipe the State is famous for.
