I thought I would let you know September 25th was National Comic Book Day. For y family if we had been #Homeschooling full time like we did in the past I would have had Charlie study #comicbooks. The more I thought about Comic Book Day the more I wanted to share this #Holiday with Charlie and David.

Comic books can be used to encourage reading and spending time as a family as well as a way to get everyone off electronics and outside as they can take there Comic Books outside to read. If you do not have Comic Books then National Comic Book Day would get your family outside as they could take a trip to a Comic Book Store or Library to check out Comic Books.

comic book (also referred to by collectors as “books[1][2])comic-magazine or simply ‘comic,’ is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form.

Comic Cuts was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by Ally Sloper’s Half Holiday (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. These British comics existed alongside the popular lurid “penny dreadfuls” (such as Spring-heeled Jack), boys’ “story papers” and the humorous Punch magazine which was the first to use the term “cartoon” in its modern sense of a humorous drawing.
