Homeschool Resource Touch-Type Read and Spell

Homeschool Resource Touch-Type Read and Spell

Both Charlie and David are wanting to learn to text. Only neither of them can spell that good. So this morning as I was online I found a new Homeschooling Resource called Touch-Type and Spell.

Which I am thinking of checking into as they could use this new Homeschool Resource and type out what they want to say and then transfer it to there phones. Which would help them learn to spell.

Because I can have them jot the words down they spelled wrong and at the end of the week we could do a Spelling Test and see if they learned the words from the help they got from Touch-Type Read and Spell.

Type, Read, and Spell with Confidence

If you are like most of us in this computer age, you want your kids to type fluently, but how about a typing program that ALSO teaches your kids to read and spell at the same time?

Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS) is a multi-sensory course that teaches touch-typing skills in ways that also help kids improve their reading and spelling. It does that, in part, by having kids drill with actual, carefully selected words (red-led-fed), rather than purely mechanical keystroke combinations (juj-kik-lol, etc.).

Also Helpful for Kids with Dyslexia!

As an extra benefit, TTRS incorporates structured word lists based on the work of Orton and Gillingham, so it’s especially useful for learners with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. In fact, TTRS is used by numerous Dyslexia Associations, including the British Dyslexia Association.

With Signature Co-op GroupBuy Savings!

A single-user school license can be purchased for $150, but members enjoy GroupBuy savings of 47% and can get TTRS for $79.95 for one teacher and student (a 47% savings) , and only $39.95 (a 73% savings!) for each additional student in the same family!

Interested?  Here’s What You Do:

  • Visit the Touch-Type Read and Spell (TTRS) website for more information.
  • Read TTRS FAQs.
  • Review the research attesting to the effectiveness of TTRS.
  • System Requirements: TTRS can be used on any Internet-enabled computer (PC and Mac) and on the Apple iPad as well. (It is not available yet on Android tablets.)

Thank you for taking the time to check out this new post for Homeschool Resource Touch-Type Read and Spell. Now, I have a question for you have you used resources like this in your Homeschool and if so what did you like and what did you dislike about them? Or is there another resource you use and if so would you share the link with me Please.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
