How to Create a Coconut Volcano

I thought I would share a Science Resource for you this morning. Science is something, Charlie loves and with us teaching Homeschooling its a class we can add to our schedule. Science is more of a hands-on course, it is something I’m hoping David will get more involved in teaching.

What David wouldn’t have to worry about the reading in this class as there isn’t much reading to be done when your teaching Science. Today’s Homeschool Resource shoutout goes to Parent Teach Play. I liked this new resource because it can help you with your Homeschooling struggles.

One of the Experiments we will be conducting is How to Create a Coconut Volcano will go with the Dinosaurs Unit we will be studying this week. We can save the Coconut for cooking or snacks. David and I love Coconut and can eat the Fresh Coconut as a snack which would be healthy for us.

Charlie hasn’t ever tried Coconut; he will be able to taste it as well. If there is any left after each of us has a snack we could make a cake or other dessert where we can add the remaining coconut to the meal we create.

If you’re like me and like new and unusual projects to do with your family, I hope you take the time to check out Google and YouTube as there will be plenty of resources on these sites you can use in your classroom.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
