Homeschool Resource Math is Fun!

It’s Monday,  and time for us to share a new Homeschool Resource with you on for Math and the new website is called MathIsFun. Although if you ask me it isn’t because I am terrible at math. Although I don’t plan on telling Charlie that as I want him to enjoy math.
Math is Fun

Recommended Website:
Age Range: 8-14 (Grades 2-8, with parental supervision)
This ad-supported website offers a variety of interactive, fun, and challenging math logic puzzles, quizzes, word problems and solutions, geometry scrambles, worksheets, and more.
When you get to the site the featured math activities are in the middle of the page. Choose from:
  • Numbers
  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Data
  • Measure
  • Puzzles
  • Games
  • Dictionary
  • Worksheets

Click on any one and a new page opens with a description and instructions on how to do the math activity. There are “help” and “solution” buttons on the puzzles for those who get stumped. Everything here is designed by the website owner “who loves mathematics and fun.”

ALL KINDS of illustrated math lessons from arithmetic to algebra and beyond can be found here!

Two bonuses! Scroll below the math activities on the home page to find a teachers page full of more inspiring math ideas to share with your students AND a link called “math tools”. This page has some really useful calculation applications to speed your way to that all-important solution! This is a comprehensive math site with explanations for how to teach every math strand – it’s a great math supplement!

Another resource I will be needing for Charlie is Tuition Assignments so he can get help with both his math and reading assignments as there are things I can’ t teach.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
