Homeschool Resource Daily Grammar

This morning I would like to bring you a new Homeschool Resource for Daily Grammar which will allow me to teach Charlie without struggling as they have the answers for us along with Quizzes. So I thought you might like to check out this new resource as well. If you have used it in the past what did you think of it and why? If you haven’t used it would you or is there something else you use to teach Grammer.
Age Range: 10-18 (Grades 4-12, with parental supervision)
This ad-supported website, developed by a software executive and a middle/high school English professor, archives over 400 grammar lessons and 80 quizzes to teach students the mechanics of the written language.
When you get to the site, you’ll see a menu of the lessons. Click on anyone, and a new page opens with the lesson and practice activities to further understanding. The experiences include:
  • Parts of Speech – Verbs, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, etc.
  • Parts of the Sentence – Subject/verb, direct object, indirect object, appositives, prepositional phrases, gerunds, infinitives, participles, and more.
  • Mechanics – Capitalization, end punctuation, periods, commas, colons, semicolons, quotation marks, apostrophes, hyphens, dashes, parentheses, brackets, italics, and underlining.
great way to learn new skills and improve existing grammar usage. Supported by randomly generated advertisements. Therefore, parents (as always) should preview the site and supervise use.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
