How is your science classes going if you’re teaching them? With Charlie, I haven’t started to show him Science. The reason is I’m not sure what resources to purchase or how to even teach Science. Although I keep seeing items from The Magic School Bus Science Club Bus pop up. I wanted to share Magic School Bus with you today.
I have been thinking about checking into The Magic School Bus for Charlie and now that I know The Magic School Bus Science Club is on sale through Click Schooling, I may go ahead and purchase it. What I would like to see if you have used The Magic School Bus Science Club and what you thought of it before I invest the money into a new resource.
There are also ideas and activities to extend the lesson by introducing students to additional experiments to help demonstrate why people and things float more readily in the Great Salt Lake than in most other bodies of water:
- Great Salt Lake Saltwater Density Experiment
- Exploring Density
- Great Salt Lake’s Buoyancy and Density
- Bathtub Physics
- More “Eggs-perimenting” Fun
- Egg Magic (Grades PreK-3)
- Eggs Don’t Break? (Grades PreK-3)
- Egg Fun (Grades K-6)
- Bouncing Eggs in Science (Grades K-8)
- Egg Drop and Air Pressure (Grades 3-6)
- The Shrinking Egg (Grades 3-8)
- Make a Flying Wing (Grades 4-8)
- Diffusion and Semi-Permeable Membranes (Grades 4-8)
I would like to let you know education world is free to use and they also offer lesson plans and daily lessons for all kinds of classes including Art. They have these lessons for all grades, and since it is free, I will be using education world a lot.
And being a free site, I thought you might want to check into education world as well and it might help you when making lesson plans for your classroom. Or teach you things you didn’t know which education world has done for my family and me.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
