Homeschool Resource Children’s Storybooks Online

Each day Charlie is required to read for at least 20 minutes for school. So there are times I can’t make it to the library. Or Charlie doesn’t have time to go the library in his school. So we spend hours hunting around the house for a book for Charlie to read. So this morning I would like to share a website with you that will stop you from hunting for books.
The new website is called Children’s Storybooks Online and it offers books for  young children, older children and also young adults. These books can be read or some of them allow you to be read to. I also like knowing many riddles, mazes, and coloring activities that are coordinated with the stories.
I hope you take the time to check out this new website and once you do let me know what you liked about it. Or if you have used this website in the past what did you think of the website? Was there anything you didn’t like about the website or that you would like to change about it and if so what is it and why?
Children's Storybooks Online
Age Range: 5-18 (Grades K-12, with parental supervision)
This award-winning site contains original stories with illustrations for young children, as well as stories for older kids and young adults too.
This ad-supported archived website gives you many riddles, mazes, and coloring activities that are coordinated with the stories. You can also click on a “sound” link to listen to some of the stories. One example is the book The Farm Animals – by Rolando Merino. It’s a free, complete, online, Click-a-Word Talking eBook! You can click and hear every individual word pronounced, hear every page read, and listen to real farm animal sounds!

There is real potential here for older siblings to read the online stories to their younger brothers and sisters – so it’s a friendly site for the entire family.

Going to this site is a little like going to the library without leaving home!
