Twenty-eight-year-old Skyy Huntington recently inherited a house and a good sum of money from her deceased grandfather. Soon after she relocates to Marblehead, Massachusetts to move into the new house, her world gets turned upside down when she encounters a mysterious entity in the cemetery while visiting her grandfather’s grave. Skyy’s reality as she knows it ends once she discovers that the supernatural world is real; something she’s always been interested in. She’s afraid to tell anyone, even her lifelong best friend Christian Vane. As she tries to discover more about the entity, she learns about a family lie that’s been kept secret for centuries, that all started within Countess Elizabeth Bathory’s castle walls. She soon finds herself immersed in a world of darkness and magic, good and evil, as she begins to form friendships with the most unlikely of people and finds romance when she least expects it!
WARNING: This book contains graphic scenes which may disturb some people and is not intended for younger audiences.
Life got really complicated, really quick for Skyy Huntington. A few months ago, she was wandering around in a cemetery snapping photos looking for ghosts. Now she finds herself submerged headfirst into a world filled with vampires and magic.
Picking up right where The Lie leaves off, Skyy boards a private jet with her love interest Aiden Carrick and her friends headed for Scotland, trying to buy them some breathing room from Countess Elizabeth Bathory’s henchmen.
Soon after their arrival, Skyy finds out they weren’t as safe as they thought when she gets abducted and taken into the dark world of the countess. She finds herself being tortured at the hands of the woman who has perfected the art over many centuries, getting an up close and personal account of just how crazy the woman really is.
Meanwhile, her vampire friends form an uneasy alliance with Skyy’s grandfather, Killian Huntington, and his order of Divine Assassins – ancestors of the servants who took a book of dark and powerful magic forged with the souls of Bathory’s victims from her castle in the 1600s.
While captive in Bathory’s castle, Skyy finds out that there is still some light within the darkness, forming a new friendship that will help change the course of her future.
New friends, and new enemies will battle for survival as Bathory gets closer and closer to finding her book.
As a newly recruited Divine Assassin, Skyy Huntington is the first human to ever transition to a vampire in their ranks. And she is finding out very quickly that being a vampire isn’t as easy as all of her friends make it look. Complications with the change occurred that nobody expected. Skyy, her partner Ridley, and all of the Divine Assassins are walking in new territory trying to merge their world of magic with her newly acquired vampire traits.
After the epic battle that sent Elizabeth Bathory into hiding, Skyy and the Divine Assassins are desperately searching for her. Knowing this is their chance to strike while she is in her weakened state, they stumble upon a frightening discovery that she may not be working alone.
While investigating the case, a series of gruesome murders lead them to the heart of London where they come face to face with a new enemy every bit as dangerous as Bathory. As if Skyy didn’t have enough on her plate, the Divine Assassins decide to stay in London and pursue the new enemy while also hunting for Bathory.
As a newly engaged couple, her fiancé Aiden is at her side to support her, whether the Divine Assassins approve of it or not. He is the only person who can keep Skyy’s constant struggles with her transition in check. But will they ever find the breathing room to plan the wedding of their dreams?
And more importantly, recent findings point to the fact that even if they do find and kill Bathory, she might not stay that way….
Lucius Gallus has been alive for a really, really long time, and there is a lot more to his story than one might think. You’ve gotten to know him as the quiet, brooding, leader of his “vampire family” in The Skyy Huntington Series, but now we’ll take a journey far back in time to learn about his origins.
Centuries ago, he was a medicus living a very normal life in the bustling city of Rome during the Roman Republic. He fell in love, had a child, and then one night his life was changed in a brutal way.
Walk with Lucius through the decades, where he goes through a heart-wrenching journey trying to learn how to fit into a new world that he doesn’t understand.
You’ll see how he meets Aiden and Fiona Carrick, and how he manages to hold on to his humanity, even during the darkest times.
This is the story of a man-turned-vampire who cannot be broken. This is the story of Lucius Gallus.

I LOVE doing Haltom City’s Night of Romance: Allison puts on THE best library events around. The library goes above and beyond to not only spotlight local authors, but to make each and every attendee feel welcome. They have fun games; authors get to read experts from their books and mingle with the attendee’s and eat yummy snacks. It isn’t your ordinary stuffy library events; it is a LOT of fun!
