#HGG Sponsor Way Down Below by Nancy Raines Day

I love being able to blog and receive new books in the mail for Charlie and I. And if you look through last years Christmas Gift Guide you would find Way Down Below by Nancy Raines Day. But Charlie  enjos Way Down Below so much that I thought your children might like it as well. And that is why you will see #HGG Sponsor Way Dowen Below by Nancy Raines Day inside this years #HGG.

And that Way Down Below by Nancy Raines Day is on a lot of Charlie’s friends wish list. And if he was still in school it was what he wanted to get his teacher for Christmas this year. But instead we picked a copy up for Payton Charlie’s cousin as he mom Alex and dad Adam do not purchase books for her. Or take the time to read to Payton. So she can keep Way Down Below at Charlie’s grandmothers and when Charlie and Payton are over there he can read it to her. Which will help Charlie with his reading.

Plus his sister Leslie loves fish and Charlie likes to draw a lot so they can spend time together drawing the fish in the book and looking them up online and do a report on the fish. So even though they would be spending time together they would be working on homeschooling Charlie. Which would give me a break which I need. As sometimes I would like to have time for myself.

I love how Way Down Below teaches you about the fish without them seeming like it is teaching you. And Way Down Below does not bore you. And the colors and illustrations in  Way Down Below will capture your attention and not let it wander. Like a lot of books Charlie and I read do.

In the back of way Down Below is a set of vocabulary words and the definitions and we can use them in spelling and language arts and it will help strengthen Charlie’s reading. Plus he can get David to sit down with him and teach him the words inside Way Down Below as I know there  is a lot inside it that David wouldn’t know. So it would allow Charlie to help someone else and to pay it forward which I love.

So if you haven’t heard of Way Down Below by Nancy Raines Day I hope you take the time to check it out as I am sure you will enjoy it just as much as Charlie and I did. even if you do not homeschool your children this is the perfect book to read to children of any age. Or for them to read to you. As reading is so important and every child should read daily.

Thank you from the Cates Family
