There aren’t many games that David enjoys playing although the other day David said he liked to play Chess. When we were talking David mentioned his dad and his brother Mike also enjoy playing Chess. I went out on a limb and contacted Chess House to see if they would allow me to conduct a review for them.
I was excited when Chess House wrote back to let me know they would like for me to conduct a review for them. We talked a bit, and I told the company I was homeschooling Charlie so they sent me a list of items they would be sending me to review. The things they decided to post they said would be perfect for a Homeschooling student.
I took a look at the website to see the items they were sending, and I knew that they would be perfect for Charlie. I would be able to give Charlie a set and David a game as well. David could use his Chess set to play Chess with his dad and brother, then David and Charlie could use Charlies set to play together.
I left both sets in the bag when they arrived, and I wrapped them up and put both their names on the package from Santa, neither of them could figure out what was in the box. Once they sat down and opened the package and saw the bag they both said ” oh it must be a tent” and I was like maybe trying to keep a straight face.
They opened the bag and saw the wooden box, which confused both of them, they looked at me, then asked me what it was. All I said was I have no clue I am not Santa. They opened their gift, and David looked at me, said yes, that is for you. Then Charlie looked to see what was in the bag, when he did, he saw the Chess set for him, and he was like daddy we can play now.
I knew these Chess sets would be a massive hit with both Charlie and David. I can’t wait for them to sit down and try out both sets as I want to know what they think of there Chess sets. With these Gifts, they will be spending time together without a TV or Video Game. Using the Chess games will help them work on there patience and concentration. As well as teaching Charlie to sit still and this will allow me to have some time to myself which I need.
Also, in the set was a DVD we can watch once we get a new DVD player. Having this DVD is good because I do not know how to play Chess and with it, I can learn along with, and Charlie can write up reports on the DVD. Then he can report on the different pieces on the Chessboard and what they are used for and how they are used. I can’t wait to see what they think of the DVD.
If you would like to get a Chess set for yourself or your friends or family, you can find them at the following sites
