I’ve always loved books that teach us a lesson and that is exactly what Henry, Like Always does as it teaches children about autism. I know Charlie isn’t autism but a lot of the things the little boy in the book faced I’ve seen Charlie experience and through this book I know have new ways to deal with Charlie when working on homeschool to keep Charlie from getting distracted or frustrated because of the noise or people talking.

If your children experience these problems this book can help them in so man y ways but its not only children but adults the book can help and I hope you share the book with everyone you know. I can see small children sitting while there parents read the story to them. As well as Middle Schoolers and even high schoolers and adults will enjoy the story.

In our Homeschool this week Charlie and I’ve decided to host our own parade and no, we don’t have everything they had like musical instruments but the fun part of our parade will be looking through our home to find things we can use to make the posters and musical instruments which can lead to a Scavenger Hunt. Would you like to join us in our parade, and we might even let you lead and wear a hat like Henry as we can make one or go on a Homeschool Field Trip to a Thrift Store or Costume Store to find a hat.

If you and your friends are distracted by everything going on or there is something, you don’t want to do or bothers you like Henry and his friend talk to each other and see if you can switch parts or help each other find ways to make the things work because together we are stronger and can do more.

A beginning chapter book series based on the award-winning picture book, A Friend for Henry!

Henry likes Classroom Ten. He likes how it is always the same. But this week, Henry’s class will have a parade, and a parade means having Share Time on the wrong day. A parade means playing instruments that are too loud. A parade means this week is not like always.

Join Henry as he navigates the ups and downs of marker missiles, stomach volcanoes, and days that feel a little too orange. From the creators of the Schneider Family Honor-winning picture book A Friend for Henry, this warmly funny book starring a child on the autism spectrum is a reassuring read for school-bound kids of all stripes.

GREAT FOR BEGINNING READERS: With short chapters and simple text, this book is perfect for newly independent readers who are just moving into longer books.

Maybe even a friend who likes things to stay the same and all in order, as Henry does. But on a day full of too close and too loud, when nothing seems to go right, will Henry ever find a friend—or will a friend find him? With insight and warmth, this heartfelt story from the perspective of a boy on the autism spectrum celebrates the everyday magic of friendship.
