My family were given tickets to visit Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke, Texas last week.
We got up the morning to go into Roanoke, Texas. David asked if we needed to pack a lunch and I said no, we could purchase lunch there and visit on the restaurants in Roanoke on the way home since we hadn’t been there that much.
While I packed my beach bag and David grabbed the water Charlie got dressed. We didn’t tell Charlie were we were going because I wanted to surprise him.
Once we arrived Charlie couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. I am glad we arrived about 30 minutes early as people were already lining up. Charlie and David was worried we wouldn’t get seats.
I reminded them everything was in the Lords hands and he would take care of us. Once the ticket booth opened up I gave them my name and was told to go inside and let them know I needed a runner and that we would be in Cabana 10.
Charlie and David were so excited to hear this. Once the runner arrived she took us to our Cabana and said she would be back as she had to check and see if she would be our runner or someone else.
Charlie and David went to walk around while I waited for the runner. He arrived and showed me how the safe worked. Handed me the Menu and let me know he would be back with Ice for the Cooler.
Once he got back and finished filling the cooler I went to walk around to see what I wanted to do and to find David and Charlie. Charlie asked to go to Breaker Bay.
I stayed up front and was able to sit down and let the waves come to me while the guys rode the waves to the back of the pool. Hearing Charlie laugh and tease with his dad was a Godsend.
Then Charlie, David and I headed to the Rainforest River Adventure. I can tell you I wanted to stay inside there all day long because it was so calming. I enjoyed seeing the animals on the banks in the trees.
Then we walked through the Water Walkway back to the Cabana and while we waited for Charlie to get a drink of water our runner came and asked if we wanted to order anything.
We let him know we was fine but having him check on us throughout the day made our day go so much smoother. Any time we come here we plan on purchasing the Cabana and a runner so we don’t have to wait in line to get drinks and lunch.
David liked knowing if we return in the evening that there is a place to purchase a Beer or Mixed Drink to go with our dinner. Charlie liked seeing the Ice Cream Truck.
There were a number of slides including Keiki Pipeline I thought Charlie would enjoy but David’s knee was bothering him and he didn’t want to climb the stairs. So Charlie said he would wait and go on the Slides when we return with one of his friends.
Which I would feel comfortable bringing Charlie and dropping him and a friend off and I wouldn’t worry about them because the park is small enough that they wouldn’t get lost.
I can’t wait to visit the Waikiki Gift Shop when we return to find a Gift for David and Charlie because I forget to stop by there this time because Charlie was so tired when we left I wanted to get him something to eat and home.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
